🚨BREAKING: The U.S. military is preparing for the first execution in more than 60 years — and Army Major Nidal Hasan is on the list.
Hasan carried out the 2009 Fort Hood massacre, killing 13 people (including an unborn child) and wounding more than 30 others while shouting “Allahu Akbar.” He targeted unarmed soldiers at a readiness processing center as they prepared for deployment.
He was convicted of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder, stripped of his rank, and sentenced to death. He has been on death row at Fort Leavenworth for over a decade and has shown no remorse.
The Army has developed plans (including “Operation Resolute Justice”) to carry out military executions if authorized by the President. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has publicly expressed commitment to seeing Hasan’s death sentence carried out. Hasan’s final appeals have been exhausted.
If approved and carried out, it would mark the first U.S. military execution since 1961.
Thirteen American service members never came home because of Hasan’s jihadist attack on his own fellow soldiers. Justice has been delayed for far too long.

Last year Congress reduced the $200 tax on silencers and short-barreled rifles/shotguns to $0 in the OBBB, but kept the related federal paperwork and fingerprinting requirements. We joined other states and gun rights organizations challenging those requirements. A federal court issued a permanent injunction preventing the government from enforcing the paperwork requirement against the parties to this case.
The ruling has caused some confusion. It clearly applies to Idaho’s state agencies and the members and customers of the specific organizations and companies involved in the case. It is not as clear whether it applies to individual Idahoans who were not plaintiffs in the case. I’m working with other Republican Attorneys General to ensure that it applies to every single law abiding citizens and will continue to fight for your 2nd Amendment rights.
