Did you know it’s 100% possible to have a 3.2 GPA and still not be academically eligible to play college football at the D1 and DII level?

Thank you, @Inc for sharing our story.
Scorability co-founders watched their own kids go through D1 recruiting and knew there had to be a better way. Today, our 1.2 million athletes, 4,500 college programs, and 27,000 camps make Scorability how recruiting works, across eight sports and counting.
We work every day to build new features and serve more athletes and coaches, and we’re just getting started. Read the full story. 🔗 s.scorability.com/incx
Where are the girls flag football BALLERS?! 👀🏈
We’re always talking about the boys. I want to see the girls putting in work too.
Drop your highlights below. Parents, coaches, teammates, tag somebody we need to see!
This is HUGE. More schools should be doing this.
Teach kids how to take an idea, build a business, manage money and create opportunities for themselves.
Some kids have never seen business ownership as a possibility. Imagine what happens when somebody shows them how.
I recently spoke with a family who has spent $90k on recruiting efforts as of their son’s senior year 🤯
RECRUITING CASE FILE 13 🗂️: THREE DIFFERENT PLANS
A senior has a scholarship offer from a school three hours from home. He’s visited, likes the staff and wants to commit.
His mom wants him closer. A nearby program is interested, but hasn’t offered. She worries about getting to his games and being there if he needs her.
His high school coach thinks his senior film could bring more opportunities and tells him to wait.
The school that offered has asked for a decision by Friday.
The player wants to say yes.
His mom wants him closer.
His coach wants more time.
What should his next move be and whose opinion should carry the most weight?
The player’s voice should carry the most weight. He’s the one who has to live there, go to class and play football. But that doesn’t mean he should make the decision alone.
Mom’s concerns deserve a real conversation. And if his coach thinks more opportunities are coming, what’s that based on? Actual conversations with colleges or just belief in the kid?
I’d call the school, clarify Friday’s deadline and ask whether there’s any flexibility.
Then sit down together. Can the family afford it? Does the school fit beyond football? Does he want to be there, or is he scared nothing else will come?
Don’t turn down a good fit just because you hope something bigger is coming.
Recruiting decisions get way more complicated when the player, the parent and the high school coach all think the next move should be different.
Whose opinion should carry the most weight and why?
D1 is great football.
D2 is great football.
D3 is great football.
NAIA is great football.
JUCO is great football.
There are BALLERS at every level. Don’t let your ego make you overlook an opportunity somebody else is praying for every day

As we go through the Best Player of the Day entries, we had to give @jeff11h a shoutout.
Old-fashioned, hard-nosed football: tough, physical, and all heart. That’s how you play the game. Love it!

RECRUITING CASE FILE 12🗂️: “WE LIKE YOUR FILM”
A college coach tells a player, “We like your film. Keep working and stay in touch.”
The family is excited, understandably. And now the player starts picturing himself at that school.
But there’s no evaluation feedback, no scheduled call, and no clear next step.
What does the family actually know? And what should they ask next?
I get why they’re excited. You hear that from a school you love and your mind starts running.
But slow down a little. We like your film doesn’t tell you where you stand.
“Coach, I appreciate that. What would you like to see from me next? When should I check back in?”
Nothing wrong with asking. Be excited, keep working, and keep talking to other schools too. You’re still figuring out if there’s something there and your options should remain wide open
Recruits: You’re allowed to ask a coach where you stand.
“Coach, am I being evaluated for a roster spot in this class, and what do you need from me next?”
Be respectful. But be direct.
This is your future that you’re trying to build after all, and you can’t build a plan around assumptions.
Unsigned seniors: Don’t let signing-day posts convince you to disappear.
Update your film. Revisit your school list. ADD to your school list. Talk with your high school coach. Follow up with all points of contact, with a purpose.
You can celebrate somebody else’s opportunity while still working toward yours.
