For more than 50 years, California's Great America in Santa Clara, CA has been a place where the Bay Area comes together to play. Today, the park announced that the 2027 season will be its Farewell Season and final year of operation.

I think people are misreading why Six Flags bought Arie due to their unnecessarily huge PR marketing for it to please shareholders
They bought it for the same reason they bought Siren & Flash, an apology coaster that they can slot into any park that needs a PR boost

Just saw a suggestion for ArieForce One placement at @SFMagicMountain.
- First half of Twisted Colossus
- Instead of going into the second lift hill it connects to AF1 (replacing Scream)
- End of AF1 hooks up with the second half of Twisted Colossus
Could you EVEN imagine?

Found one of my old extra credit assignments from 10th grade. We could present on the history of anything so I did mine on Magic Mountain. When I got to this slide and mentioned that X/X2 was so expensive that it made the company that built it bankrupt the whole class laughed lol

no they’re fucking not. that was B&Ms fist fatality in nearly 40 years of being in business and they have made more Hypers than anyone. if you come at the coaster community you will be hit with a wave of autism so strong you won’t be able to tie your shoes for years
Hypercoasters not regulated and 'more risky' than ever, warn experts after Six Flags horror death trib.al/SUOHqI7
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
US amusement park roller coasters, including hypercoasters, are regulated by states (with inspections/oversight in most jurisdictions per ASTM standards) rather than being unregulated; there is no federal oversight for fixed-site rides.

Speculation is normal. Curiosity is normal. Spreading bullshit information as fact when you have no clue what really happened or the engineering behind coaster safety is not. Which is the vast majority of you. Please stop.

People who don’t have any knowledge about rollercoasters should shut their yapper when it comes to rollercoaster safety.
