I do not care about #collegesports. I would like our representatives put a stop to algorithmic price gouging and A.I. price fixing. It makes it hard to get anything done when the House takes months off every year. Must be nice for them.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Science should guide us toward the common good. It is criminal to erase its advances out of fear of loss of profits for a given few. theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i…
I don’t want anything to do with @cvspharmacy and any of their pharmacies again. I need an antiviral now. It’s urgent. They lie about receiving orders, about what meds they have in stock, their app lies about Rx status, and they lie to prevent Rx transfers. #pharmacists #cvs

His photography is such a neglected topic. I always feel like that granular surreal, unsettling quality of his work is even more tangible in this medium.

Former “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley took to Instagram on Saturday to thank his fans for their support after the program’s new executive producer, Nick Bilton, fired him after an explosive confrontation.
“To all of you who have been so kind, you are the wind in my sails. So deeply grateful,” Pelley wrote, along with a photo of him looking elated at the helm of his sailboat.

This is horrible. Horrible times for American media. Bari Weiss is a plague on journalism and freedom of the press. Nick Bilton is an unqualified nobody.

I've been done with CBS for a while into the Bari Weiss era. Sadly, I had to give up on 60 Minute. Bringing on a technocrat to lead rather than a journalist doesn't bode well.
