Abdulrahman @RealAARahman, tell us something. If you are truly following Tinubu, no dey follow corner corner. Let us know where you stand and stop keeping us guessing. 😂
Nobody said leadership is about perfect grammar or speaking big English. Don’t twist the argument because you have no answer to it. The issue is competence, intellectual preparedness, and the ability to communicate effectively in offices that demand these qualities.
You mentioned bills, stability, and unity in the House. Which bills exactly, and what measurable impact have they had on the lives of ordinary Kwarans? A united Assembly is not automatically a productive one, and rising through the ranks does not exempt anyone from scrutiny.
The real question is simple: are we setting standards for leadership, or have we lowered the bar simply because the people involved belong to our party?

this argument doesn't hold up when you look at Kwara today.
You talk about standards, but leadership is not about perfect grammar or speaking big English in front of a camera. Leadership is about capacity to listen, to build consensus, to deliver for your people,

APC ran this same experiment in Edo State because they do not care about good governance, and the results are there for everyone to see. They are even ashamed of their own actions. This will not repeat itself in Kwara. We cannot entrust our state to a man who cannot string two sentences together in plenary, who will not be able to present our budget to the Assembly. We are not repeating Edo. In 2027, Kwara will choose competence.
The political revolution in Kwara State seems to have opened the doors of leadership to people who raise serious questions about the standards required for public office. From a governor whose O’Level result remains controversial to a Speaker, now the APC governorship candidate, whose videos of struggling to pronounce simple words and express himself coherently during parliamentary sittings have circulated widely, the embarrassment is hard to ignore.
The problem is a political culture that appears to reward loyalty over competence and political connections over merit. If a revolution changes those in power but lowers the standards of leadership, then what exactly has changed for the better?

Borrowing is one thing, showing Nigerians the results is another. This is why I miss Bukola Saraki as Senate President. He understood the importance of oversight and didn’t just rubber-stamp everything.
Tinubu keeps borrowing, and the NASS keeps nodding. Nigerians now understand why we need a Senate President like Bukola Saraki.
He was called anti-development for scrutinising loans, but today, we see the difference between a parliament that asks questions and one that simply approves everything.

Apparently, mentioning Bukola Saraki and 2031 is enough to make some people forget how to have an objective conversation. 😂
I raised a point about bridge-building and political negotiation. Instead of engaging with that argument, some people made their dislike of the man the entire discussion.
You don’t have to support Saraki. Nobody is asking you to. But if your only response to a conversation about his leadership experience is personal dislike, what exactly are you contributing to the debate?
2031 is bigger than political sentiments. Let’s argue the issues, not just the personalities.
One thing that makes Bukola Saraki worth considering for Nigeria’s presidency in 2031 is his ability to build bridges across political divides.
As Senate President, he led a chamber where party differences could easily have stalled progress. Yet, his leadership brought together people with competing interests to work within the same institution. That experience matters.
Nigeria is too diverse to be governed by division, and too challenged to afford endless political battles. We need a president who can engage opponents, negotiate differences and build a coalition around the national interest.
The next president must not just know how to win power; he must know how to bring a divided country together. That is a conversation worth having about Bukola Saraki and 2031.
There’s a popular, fairly large hostel around the UNILORIN school gate (Behind play sport) and the rate at which some girls step out to meet dealers is honestly alarming.
Sometimes, I wonder if this is a habit they picked up long before coming to school or something they gradually got into after moving into the hostel. The frequency is enough to make you curious.
And before anyone starts, guys are included o! 😅

Kawu Visits Okuta, Receives Security Report, Gives Cash Support To Unpaid Vigilante Group
The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Kwara State, Engr Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, has paid a strategic visit to Okuta in Baruten Local Government Area, where he met the vigilante group and local security outfits to receive a security report on the area.
The visit was part of the candidate’s strategic engagements across the state and was informed by the fact that Baruten is one of the local government areas most affected by banditry and other security challenges in Kwara State.
In a statement obtained by Just Event Online TV
The meeting offered the vigilante group and local security operators the opportunity to brief Agaka on their operations, the challenges they face and the general security situation in the area.
During the interaction, members of the vigilante group made it known to the PDP candidate that they have been rendering voluntary security service because nobody pays them for their services.
They said their members have continued to sacrifice their time, energy and personal safety to protect their communities without any form of remuneration from government or any other source.
They added that the voluntary service has become more tasking in the face of the security pressure on Baruten, yet they have remained committed because their people depend on them.
The vigilante members also alleged that despite the fact that the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Hon Saliu Yakubu Danladi, comes from the same local government area, he has turned a deaf ear to their appeals.
They said their condition has remained unattended to despite the security pressure on Baruten and the sacrifices being made by local security volunteers. They noted that the Speaker, who is also the APC governorship candidate, has not deemed it fit to support or motivate them in spite of the fact that their operations are meant to protect the same communities he seeks to govern.
Engr Agaka, in his response, gave the vigilante group cash support and promised continuous support for them. He commended them for their courage and commitment to the safety of their communities and urged them not to relent in their efforts.
He said local security volunteers deserve encouragement because they are often the first line of defence in rural communities and their sacrifices should not be taken for granted.
The PDP candidate also stressed that security should not be treated as a matter of political convenience. He said a government that truly cares about the safety of the people must support those who put their lives on the line to protect communities, especially in areas facing serious security threats.
He noted that Baruten and other border communities require special attention because of their proximity to areas where criminal elements often operate.
The vigilante group, in turn, appreciated Engr Agaka for the kind financial assistance.
They said the money will be an energy booster for their members and would help lift their morale and strengthen their resolve to continue protecting their communities. They also urged the candidate to sustain his interest in the security and welfare of Baruten people. – at Ponpola, Nigeria
