So many good things have happened this year.
So many bad things have happened this year.
But what will be greatly missed tomorrow and after - waking up knowing there will be no more new Discworld stories.
Thank you, sir Terry Pratchett, for the unforgettable emotions.

To understand Russian culture, understand that Russians just dropped nine multi-ton guided bombs on 60 people that had come to a local school to line up for weekly humanitarian aid distribution.

Russian strike on shelter in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region, killed 18 people‼️
At least 18‼️‼️‼️
According to Zelenskyy, Russians first attacked a school where locals were receiving humanitarian aid. They then launched nine more aerial bomb strikes targeting the shelter where people were seeking cover...
I... this is just inhuman. This has no place in our world. Why is it allowed to happen? why??

‼️ @Shelby_Wilder from Kyiv on @NEWSMAX as the channel covers the evacuation from Oleshky:
"Newsmax crew is in Oleshky to be independent observers. But we have to make no mistake to give context to the situation.
Russia is using this humanitarian operation as a propaganda opportunity. Moscow wants to portray itself as the rescuer of civilians in a city that it occupies. One it has destroyed and plunged into this humanitarian crisis. And we need to be clear: Russia controls what we are going to be allowed to see.
Moscow appears to have brought in numerous Russian media compared to just the one American news outlet. Because of that, our team is not is not going to have an unrestricted picture of life under Russian occupation. The people that we could speak to very well could be under duress, and Russian authorities are showing us what they want the world to see. That is essential when we're going to be evaluating the first images and reports that are coming out of Oleshky.
But nonetheless, the fact that civilians are being evacuated and offer this humanitarian aid this is historic. This has been brokered by the White House, and this is a significant point in the war. We're seeing a localized ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine continue to hold to enable this operation to take place. We are again tracking the developments coming out of Oleshky today. All eyes are on this ceasefire, and we will certainly keep you posted."

🚨 Russia killed at least 14 people at the railway station in Dnipro and wounded at least 14 others, including children. A jet-powered drone struck a railway platform as passengers waited for their train. This is pure evil and an act of terrorism.

When President Trump says we need to find a compromise – we live with this. A ceasefire and sitting down at the negotiating table – it is a huge compromise.
Nobody can step into the shoes of all these people whose children were tortured. And you can't force people to forgive. How can you force them when their child was tortured? How do you forgive? It's impossible. I desperately want justice. I just really want. I know so many people had their hearts ripped out, and there won't be a new heart.
That's why we say a ceasefire is the only step, because people’s hatred isn't going anywhere. It takes time and justice. And that's why it's a huge compromise. I've tried many times to tell the President of the United States: understand us. This is a huge compromise just to hold the lines where we are. Trump can bring Putin to the negotiating table very easily. The way President Trump talks about me, he needs to adopt that kind of rhetoric about Putin.

Russia struck this little girl’s house with a drone the day after I took this photo. Her father and brother were killed. She only survived as she had gone to the kitchen to get water.

In Kherson, Russians murder an elderly woman by first firing on her with small arms, then with artillery, then finally with an FPV drone.
This is now all in partnership with the White House, that continues to block Ukraine's drone defenses within Ukraine.

With Trump's removal of Starlink, Russians are now hunting cars full of people in Kyiv, using jet drones for which Ukraine's interceptors no longer function to stop.

A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

How proud the @gop must be of their handiwork today, graduating from merely coddling the obese Russian puppet through inaction, on up to mass murder and the murder of children through inaction.

‼️ Here's how disinformation works: An anonymous account based in Nigeria, with just over 400 followers, posts a video of an Iranian attack on a port in Oman in March 2026, falsely presenting it as a Ukrainian strike and claiming Ukraine “vowed to ensure Russian oil doesn't get to the U.S.”
Thousands of people retweet it, including members of the U.S. Congress. Voilà.
Expect a flood of similar disinformation tactics in the coming weeks.
