LOCK HER UP: A Texas teacher is charged with grooming a 16-year-old girl whose journal described kissing her and hiding their relationship.

Gloria Resendiz, 35, taught the student at Hebron High School in Carrollton during the previous school year.
⠀
Police say the contact continued even though the girl was no longer in her class. She allegedly ate lunch alone in Resendiz’s classroom and stayed after school almost every day.

The girl’s parent raised concerns after discovering extensive phone contact with the teacher. A school administrator alerted Carrollton police on September 27.
⠀
Investigators say the two communicated at least three or four times daily, with some conversations lasting more than seven hours.

With the parent’s permission, police obtained the student’s phone and examined its contents.
⠀
They found deleted messages and evidence of numerous gifts. Locked journal entries allegedly described a romantic relationship with Resendiz.
⠀
One June entry said it had been nearly three months since they recognized their feelings and first kissed. Other entries placed that first kiss in March 2026.
⠀
The student described them as dating and wrote that they had to "sneak around" and "hide" the relationship. Investigators say additional entries described cuddling and kissing.

Resendiz faces charges of child grooming and indecency with a child by s*xual contact. Police obtained arrest warrants on October 5.

She turned herself in to the Carrollton Jail on October 6 and was later transferred to the Denton County Jail.

Months before her arrest, Telemundo 39 featured Resendiz’s work as a national referee for U.S. Soccer.

Lewisville ISD placed her on administrative leave and prohibited her from entering any district facility. Hebron High School counselors are available to support students and staff.

Carrollton police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could follow. The district is asking anyone with relevant information to contact police or a trusted adult at school.

If 55 million visas were cancelled overnight, America would change in ways few could imagine.
At first it would look chaotic. Hospitals short on nurses. Tech firms unable to staff support teams. Crops left to rot because migrant labor vanished. For a few months, the headlines would scream collapse. But then something else would happen.
Wages would climb. Trades and apprenticeships would surge. Colleges that depended on foreign tuition would close, but community colleges would thrive again as Americans re-trained. Housing prices in major cities would fall for the first time in decades. Renters would finally have leverage. Families that were priced out could buy homes again.
The GDP might dip at first, but the money would start circulating locally. People who thought they’d never matter in the economy would suddenly be needed again. The country would remember how to build, grow, fix, and teach without importing labor. It wouldn’t be easy, but it would be ours.

🚨 TCS JUST SAID TRUMP’S PERM CRACKDOWN WON’T AFFECT ITS BUSINESS.
The company says it filed fewer than 10 PERM applications over the past two years.
And the suspension won’t materially affect its U.S. workforce strategy.
Meanwhile, TCS continues expanding its offshore delivery business, including taking over Best Buy’s India technology center.
If these companies barely use PERM, suspending PERM alone won’t stop outsourcing.
