Retail investor: "AI is a bubble bro. This is 2000 all over again" Me: What do you think the Nasdaq 100 was trading at in March 2000? Retail investor: idk... like 30 times earnings? Me: Around 100 times forward earnings Retail investor: ok & now? Me: About 19... Look at the chart below that shows both times. Retail investor: wait that can’t be right Me: It is. Back then you had companies with zero profits going public & doubling on day one. Today the biggest AI names are some of the most profitable businesses on the planet... & S&P 500 earnings are expected to grow 15%+ next year Retail investor: so it can’t crash? Me: Oh it can drop 20-30%, no problem. It’s done that plenty of times. But that is just noise along the way. Retail investor: so what are you doing about it Me: Allocating to elite companies/ETFs at good prices! Then only doing options when the setup is very compelling. We will for sure get volatility... But this is not a bubble IMO.

You have to be mentally handicapped to wake up with the Nasdaq 100 trading at its lowest fwd P/E ratio in years and feel compelled to sell your tech stocks, while we continue going through the biggest, most profitable tech revolution in human history

I think you are missing the point of what $ICP is actually solving. Let's look at some major hacks: Bybit: Had exactly what you prescribe: an air-gapped multisig cold wallet with hardware signers. Still lost $1.5B. The compromised laptop wasn't even Bybit's. A Safe Wallet dev was hacked, attackers obtained AWS credentials and replaced the JavaScript in Safe AWS S3 bucket. The signers approved what the screen showed them. The screen lied. The malicious JavaScript was removed two minutes later. Binance: DevOps laptop -> service container -> the signing system signed whatever it was told. No private key was leaked. Bangladesh Bank: Custom malware inside SWIFT Alliance Access, manipulating the Oracle DB to conceal fraudulent transfers. Capital One: A misconfigured WAF on AWS. See the pattern? The pattern isn't "humans". It's one human reaching one mutable server that sits between the signer and the chain. #InternetComputer removes that server. An attacker compromises a mutable component of the infra and changes what the system does. That infra is the attack surface, not the person signing. That's the attack surface $ICP is designed to eliminate: ✅Frontends served directly from canisters, with responses certified by the subnet and verifiable by the client. No S3 bucket where attackers can silently replace JavaScript. ✅No traditional service containers, SSH access or admin controlled databases. Canister state changes are executed through subnet consensus. ✅No single administrator holding the upgrade keys on a laptop. Canisters can be governed by a DAO, with upgrades requiring a vote. ✅No complete signing key sitting in one place. Threshold crypto distributes key shares across nodes, while properly implemented consent messages let users verify what they're signing. ✅ No API keys or cloud credentials. Canister calls are authenticated by the protocol, nothing for a compromised laptop to hand over. ✅ Verifiable deployed code. Wasm hash is onchain, reproducible builds let anyone check it matches source. ✅ Public controllers. Anyone can see who can upgrade a canister, one key, DAO, or nobody. ✅ Withdrawal policy enforced by consensus. Limits and approvals live in the canister, not in a backend someone can reach. ✅ Upgrades go through a visible voting window. A malicious change is a public proposal, not a silent push. ✅ Certified data reads. Balances and transaction lists are verifiable as coming from the subnet, not a tampered node. ✅ No runtime supply chain. Dependencies compile into the WASM, nothing fetched at execution time. ✅ No passwords or seed phrases to phish. Internet Identity uses passkeys, with a separate principal per app. ✅ No key server. vetKeys derive encryption keys onchain via threshold crypto. Your three "someone still has to" points: code bugs, key custody and user signing and those are real risks, and they apply everywhere. ICP has never claimed otherwise. What $ICP solves is that the infra layer exploited in hacks like Bybit, Binance, Bangladesh Bank etc.. can be fundamentally redesigned to eliminate entire classes of attack. #InternetComputer isn't trying to make traditional infra more secure. It's eliminating entire attack surfaces by making that infra unnecessary. That's why I'm genuinely optimistic about ICP future. The tech addresses real problems, and its potential extends far beyond what we've seen in crypto. I like the direction @dominic_w is taking on X lately, focusing on practical problems and what $ICP can do to solve them.

Take your pick... You can now choose where your Caffeine app is deployed. We've introduced a new cloud feature. Choose between: - IC Mainnet is the default and is the right choice for most apps. - European Cloud puts your app's compute and storage in Europe. - Encrypted Cloud keeps your app's memory encrypted. You can change an app's cloud in its project settings any time before it goes live.

We expect the cloud engine economy will make use of MULTI/DEX, so that should tell you something. Enterprise cloud engine creator --> CC/$ --> Payment provider --> MULTI/DEX --> ICP --> network --> cycles --> node operators (after 20% burn) --> MULTI/DEX --> cycles/USDC

A major advance for MULTI/DEX went live. The world's 1st order book exchange that's 100% onchain, open source, has margin, an AMM, offers swaps, has no owner, no backdoors, and is MiCA compliant, just got closer to prod — CEXs might adopt the platform for extra security too 🔥

The heists this year have been shocking, and the money is taken to bad places to fund bad things. It's time to reexamine the tech vs narrative balance. Hopefully, with MULTI/DEX, ICP can demonstrate a better way forward through open source services that run 100% from the network.

Something new is taking shape inside Caffeine. We spotted three deployment environments in its workspace settings that haven’t been publicly announced yet. IC Mainnet: the standard deployment option, using ICP’s main application subnets. European Cloud: application compute and object storage run on an ICP European subnet. Encrypted Cloud: uses AMD SEV-SNP to keep application memory encrypted. This gives builders more choice over where their applications run and how their infrastructure is configured. It’s an interesting development for Caffeine, and another example of the infrastructure capabilities being brought directly into an AI-powered app-building experience. We’ve got our eye on this one. caffeine.ai @caffeineai

AI made writing software easy. Where it runs is now the differentiating factor for your business. With @claudeai, your app goes live on infrastructure that can't be tampered with, stays online, and stays under your control. A safe place for agents to build and run software, and AIware. Here's how: 🧵

We've just added Mistral Large 4 to Caffeine. It's Mistral's largest most capable model yet. Use it to build a new app or keep improving one you've already started. On Caffeine, its credit price is lower than Claude Sonnet 5.5's. You'll find it in the model menu, and you can switch between models in the same conversation. @MistralAI

Try out paid features for a month with the code HALLOWEEN26. For a month, you can describe an app, have Caffeine build it from scratch, and put it live on your own domain. You can also publish it on the App Market, where other people can use it as it is or remix it into their own version. Your app can send emails, and you can see who's visiting it. Once your app is live, it's easy to ask questions and make changes on the spot. The code is for anyone without an active subscription, whether you're new to Caffeine or coming back, and it's open until the end of November. Already subscribed? Thank you for building with us. If you know someone who'd like to try Caffeine, the code is theirs to use.

Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…
