Israeli forces shot and killed a young Palestinian man and wounded another after opening fire on their vehicle east of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian media.
Israeli media later alleged the vehicle attempted a ramming attack, but did not share any evidence to back the claim. It is a justification routinely used after such killings by Israeli forces.
Soldiers also arrested the wounded man, and deployed reinforcements, sealing nearby roads and searching the area.
The shooting came amid intensified Israeli activity across the West Bank and Jerusalem, as more than 509 Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during Yom Kippur.
