My late fathers all time favorite, I bought him the blue ray extended addition dvd, which I think he wore out, bless him, I visited where it was filmed, in and around the desert plans of Wadi Rum, Jordan. Fabulous film. The train, at Wadi Rum station, used in the film.

I took my wife to Treasury, Wadi Rum, and Acuba. The locals said one of the decayed structures was were Lawrence stayed. My wife loved the cats staying at their tents. Tea and trinkets made our day.

I wanted to be like Prince Faisal as played by Sir Alec but the closest I got was sounding like Captain Pugwash.

I’ve had the great pleasure of travelling through Wadi Rum, visiting Madaba, and drinking a gin’n’tonic in Lawrence’s armchair at the Baron Hotel in Aleppo. The man’s legacy remains strong in those corners of the world.

I live five minutes from his effigy in a small Saxon church, & 15 from the three places where he lived, died, & is buried.

I watched it at the cinema, has to be seen on the big screen , the actual train is still where it was ambushed over a hundred years ago.

I have it on DVD. I love the long shot of Omar Sharif on his camel as he approaches the well where Lawrence is.

I’ll set to record it, to watch in darkness to properly appreciate the beauty of the 70mm Technicolor epic. We’ll be in the pictures watching 45th anniversary release of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I knew someone who was a friend of Lawrence, I'm going back about 45 years, this chap had a bike like Lawrence and they became good friends in RAF Uxbridge, Lawrence was hiding there, he used to fetch many things for him from London when Middlesex was still countryside.

A Dangerous Man: Lawrence after Arabia. Also worth a look, with Ralph Fiennes in the title role, tangled in the machinations of the Paris Peace Conference. youtu.be/0da7bWD2OAw?is=WHgQ…

One of my favourite movies. The best scene is when the camera pans up to the sky and then when it comes down we've changed locations. That is so clever!.

My Late Father saw it twice in the cinema in Sri Lanka in the mid 1960s when it was released there. He never forgot the racism in that one particular scene...

Remember an interview with Spielberg where he said that if it was ever on TV, no matter where abouts it was in the film, he would sit there and watch the end of it.

taken to see this at the pictures in the early 70s and it didn’t knock me out. Restored and re-edited by David Lean, in about 1990, we saw it at our local independent screen, and appreciated the greatness of this beautiful picture. Spoiled by the film snapping 1min from end!
