Hi fellas! After all this time and these projects getting traction & becoming public, it's time for a proper introduction.
I'm Alex, 38, French. I was real estate agent & business developer in a PropTech startup in Paris until Feb 2022. I moved to Kyiv in May 2022 and stayed.
From December '22 to April '23, I volunteered with a local military NGO, delivering medical supplies. Thought I'd help for a few months. That was nearly 3 years ago.
June 2023: I created @Doshka_F to try to fix what I saw daily — erratic sourcing, zero process, just chaos held together by good intentions.
DF's top priority? Supplying medical equipment to the Ukrainian army & civilian healthcare structures. This field desperately needs better management. We have been trying to do this here. A few people help with logistics & paperwork. A dozen volunteers across Europe handle fundraising & social media.
It works because we collaborate daily with volunteers & nonprofits in 🇺🇦, 🇺🇸 & 🇪🇺. This synergy building is why I created DF. It's the only way to create value: helping each other.
However, I still run 95% of operations solo, fuelled by coffee and stubbornness. That's how I witnessed firsthand the coordination crisis plaguing humanitarian logistics. Hundreds of NGO leaders across 🇺🇦 face the same problems—coordination failures, inefficient procurement, lack of basic management tools. The problems I experienced daily at Doshka are systemic issues affecting the entire humanitarian ecosystem.
We're all fighting the same uphill battle against a system that should work better. From this realization emerged @platforma_app — a company developing a comprehensive digital logistics platform for humanitarian aid. Built by someone who lived through the inefficiencies it solves.
This isn't just software—it's crisis-tested solution building to empower hundreds of humanitarian leaders facing these same daily struggles.
We built this because someone had to.

As many of you know, I have been building @platforma_app quietly for the last 2.5 years.
It was chaotic. No team, no money. Last fall, I gave up on finding a developer to build it.
Then winter hit Kyiv. Power cuts, for weeks at a time. I almost gave up on the whole thing.
« Power outage schedules for September 30 in the Kyiv region have been released – DTEK. »
Also no running water here. Starts well.
Kyiv has been so bombed all night by missiles & drones that a fog of soot/smoke is still visible here at 9am. We can’t even open the windows yet…

🇺🇦🧒 À Kiev, les élèves ukrainiens sont contraints quitter leur salle de classe pour rejoindre les abris en raison des attaques de drones russes. Un quotidien difficile qui nourrit la peur et la fatigue des enfants. #JT13H

A September 27 post from @slayerofmoskali says Nafito Shelter in Kyiv is caring for ten rescued cats that urgently need food and medical care. The same post says the cats were rescued after the war left them without homes, were saved by NAFO, and that the shelter provides receipts.

This was today 1PM in the very center of Kyiv. 100m from Shevshenko university, 300m from our office, less than 100m from the German embassy.. No area in Kyiv is protected anymore. No one. Killing civilians in broad daylight. What happens when Russia isn’t stopped.
BREAKING:
The National Academy of Sciences is on fire in central Kyiv.
Fatalities and wounded have been reported. The building is destroyed.

Went live in July. Public since Sept 1rst. Since then 8 nonprofits signed up. It would be nice to reach 30 by Nov 1rst.
What it is? In 1 line: aid moves from the people who have it to the people who need it, in one place. Needs, stock, pickups and shipments, tracked end to end.
It's free to use. It connects nonprofits/donors/suppliers/ recipients.
It's not perfect yet. If something breaks or feels wrong, tell me. My DMs are open.
One ask: send this to one nonprofit, medic or volunteer who could use it. That's how this grows.

Kyiv is under attack for 10 days now. Uninterrupted drones/missiles strikes across the city every hour or so, day & night. Parents take kids to playground no matter what, checking live channels until drones are spotted in the neighborhood. Then go home quickly.. #maidanchiklife
