Cardano stablecoin market cap just crossed $70m. Tiny compared to other ecosystems, but it means something because this wasn't built on outside VC money or foundation subsidies.
It came from the Treasury and the ecosystem's own resources.
Last June I wrote that Cardano's stablecoin supply was far too small relative to its DeFi ecosystem.
It was $31.75m then. It's more than doubled since. 31% of that came in the last 30 days alone, with $USDCx now making up 63% of the total as the anchor, and @realfi_co $USDrf passing $5m within two weeks of launch.
Stablecoin supply now exceeds DeFi TVL. What matters more is that the conditions for growth are far better than they were. With USDCx integrated and the CIP-113 standard now merged, there's a path for regulated stablecoins to come to Cardano.
Cardano is slow, but it keeps changing.
I think that, to support the growth of #Cardano DeFi ecosystem, stablecoin liquidity needs to increase significantly.

As shown below, when comparing the stablecoin market cap to DeFi TVL, Cardano lags far behind other chains. Cardano sits at just 10.7%, while Ethereum and L2 chains like Arbitrum all exceed 100%.

There’s something that bothered me for a while in DeFi about yield products.
The fact that they’re often crypto trading dressed up as income.
Token emissions, funding rate arbitrage, liquidity incentives that dry up the moment sentiment change.
The "yield" only exists because the crypto cycle is cooperating that week.
@realfi_co sUSDr works on a different premise entirely.
The return comes from connecting capital to actual credit markets:
— Treasuries
— Money market funds
— Private credit instruments that have existed and functioned long before any of this did.
That’s the part I find genuinely interesting: a different source of return altogether, running on Cardano's native staking layer.

Contributing to Cardano on chain activity via a set of strategy bots, mainly DEX arbitrage. They’ve been running for a long time, but this is a snapshot from the last few minutes.

I don’t usually share what I work on in the evenings but thought it could be interesting and spark innovation, it's been over a few years now actually, it has cool things like dynamic pool discovery, token discovery, and a tonne of events like Liquidity Pool creation, it tracks every single batcher transaction and I have price calculations across most DEX's, mempool monitoring etc
