Proud to have been part of this. Some incredible work went on behind the scenes - you know who you are! A vision turned into something tangible.
Loved working with Matt - I think I've got the coaching bug again!
THREE DAYS. ONE VISION. SHOWCASE COMPLETE!
And that's a wrap! The third and final day of the Cyprus Talent Pathway Showcase is officially complete.
What started as an idea to create genuine opportunities for talented footballers has now become a reality, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
Firstly, a huge thank you to all the players and parents who placed their faith and trust in us to deliver three days of quality coaching and a positive footballing experience. Your commitment, enthusiasm and support have meant a great deal to us.
To our coaches, Matt Derbyshire and Michael Pieri thank you for your professionalism, outstanding player management and the high standard of coaching delivered throughout the Showcase. Your experience, dedication and approach to working with the players were invaluable.
We're also extremely grateful to the organisations and businesses who believed in what we were trying to achieve:
🤝 @PASPcyprus – Cyprus Players' Union, for their support and endorsement of the initiative.
🤝 Together Cyprus, our Official Community & Social Impact Partner, for supporting a vision that extends beyond football.
📻 @LGR1033 , our Official Media Partner, for helping raise awareness of the Showcase within the wider community.
🤝 Parmars for their generous support and contribution towards making the event possible.
📊 And a special thank you to StepOut AI, our Official Performance Analysis Partner, for collaborating with us and bringing an additional dimension to the Showcase through player performance analysis and data.
But our work doesn't stop here.
The next stage is just as important. We will now focus on the player analysis, profiles and footage, with the aim of sharing relevant information with interested clubs, scouts and recruitment professionals in Cyprus and beyond.
From the beginning, our ambition was never simply to organise three days of football. It was to create a platform that could potentially open doors for players who might otherwise struggle to access these opportunities.
We've taken the first step, and we're proud of what we've achieved together.
To everyone who played a part in making the inaugural Cyprus Talent Pathway Showcase happen - THANK YOU!
MORE THAN A SHOWCASE. IT'S A PATHWAY.

This is a truly BRILLIANT read. Congratulations @WayneSBarton and @BloomsburySport
At a time when @ManUtd fans are wallowing in yet another crisis, the Fergie years retold with previously unheard interviews is a timely distraction but also a reminder...
...of how Fergie started, challenges faced and of course the huge success. Full review to come but this snippet from an emotional epilogue is a stark reminder of what being employed by @ManUtd should mean. Current execs and players would do well to take note. Fans deserve no less
They got rid of Amorim who (among other things) stubbornly kept playing United's best player as a number 6.
Carrick might go the same way because he's playing his best player as a striker.
This is Bruno who was the league's best last season playing as a playmaker.

Cunha substitution confused me. Why bring him on and play him deep? Oh, to accommodate your ineffective captain. 🤦🏻♂️ I love Bruno, but he's been poor. A United team should ALWAYS be looking to win a game. Leaving Cunha on the bench for 80-odd minutes baffled me.
The criticisms of Amorim were that he was too stubborn, would not adapt. Carrick has done just that today. He's changed things and it's working. Deserved lead. Baleba standing out in midfield - energy, closing down and carrying the ball. Good half so far.

Today's grass roots refereeing drama. One disgruntled player claimed I should've run more. According to my watch I ran 5.35 miles. Not bad I think for a 52 year old with dodgy knees. Was a huge pitch without ARs.
Seven goals, 3 bookings and a one sin bin.

Rest easy, Coach. Forever a Chicago legend. 🕊️
Top night this evening in the presence of these two United legends. Great stories told and memories shared. Unfortunately, neither is available to play on Saturday.

What a great read. Ferguson is still the 🐐

Happy publication day Mr Barton.
Sure to be another cracking read by "...the pre-eminent writer on the club..."
@ManUtd
Just got in from work. Been fretting all day. Brilliant news. Hallelujah and 🐻⬇️.
Bears QB Caleb Williams avoided any major injury to his hamstring Sunday, tests confirmed today — and the team isn’t even ruling him out for next Monday’s game against the Eagles, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.
A massive sigh of relief in Chicago.

I'm biased, but the greatest author on @ManUtd writing about the club's greatest manager using unheard interviews?
No Fergie-time needed, a winner from page 1 I'm sure!
Zero doubts this will be beautifully written with perfect context and historical relevance. Can't wait!
Fergie : The Lost Tapes is published on Thursday.
It’s 528 pages to tell the greatest football management era in history. 400+ hours of rare Ferguson interviews, exclusive interviews with so many more.
