From the little time I spent interacting with patients, I really appreciated patients who tried to research their conditions. Those are actually people you could educate about the disease and help them allay their fears. However, I appreciate that in many cases their are dismissed as crazy.
this actually happened to the actress’s son, who had kawasaki disease. she approached grey’s anatomy to raise awareness through an episode, yet they tried to have her committed to psych instead of listening to her concerns. moms know when something isn’t right with their children. imagine fighting to save your child while doctors make you feel like you’re the problem.
Head-on accidents are some of the most primitive accidents. For major highways, dual carriage ways are more suitable. Traffic flowing in one direction should have at least 2 lanes for major roads separated by a solid elevated median so that drivers don't ever face the risk of a head-on collision.
BULAWAYO-VIC FALLS ROAD REHABILITATION SHOWS INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN ACTION
The Second Republic, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency President Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, continues to prioritise infrastructure development as a key driver of Zimbabwe's economic transformation.
Through the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme (ERRP), Government is upgrading and modernising the country's road network to improve connectivity, enhance road safety and stimulate economic activity.
A notable milestone is the rehabilitation and opening to traffic of 73.4 kilometres of the 440-kilometre Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road. This strategic highway connects Bulawayo, Hwange and Victoria Falls, supporting tourism, commerce and the movement of people and goods.
Its rehabilitation aligns with the objectives of National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and Vision 2030, which seek to accelerate economic growth, modernise infrastructure and build an empowered and prosperous upper middle-income society.
The rehabilitation demonstrates the Second Republic's commitment to building infrastructure that supports economic growth. Roads are essential economic enablers, connecting producers to markets, businesses to customers and communities to essential services. By improving this corridor, Government is strengthening movement of goods and people while creating better conditions for commercial activity along the route.
The Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway is a vital transport corridor linking major economic and tourism centres, including Bulawayo, Hwange National Park and Victoria Falls. Improved road conditions enhance the travel experience for tourists, strengthen access to attractions and support businesses in hospitality, transport and retail.
The road also contributes to regional connectivity through the SADC transport network and forms part of the broader North-South Corridor, which facilitates trade across Southern Africa. By investing in this route, Government is strengthening infrastructure needed to support tourism growth, cross-border commerce and regional integration.
A well-maintained road network is fundamental to public safety and efficient transport. The rehabilitation is expected to provide smoother journeys, improve driving conditions and help reduce vehicle operating costs and travel delays. It also supports reliable movement of agricultural produce, industrial goods and essential supplies.
Zimbabwe's journey towards Vision 2030 requires sustained investment in infrastructure that strengthens productivity, attracts investment and improves quality of life. The Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road rehabilitation demonstrates how strategic transport infrastructure can support tourism, trade and economic participation.
Under President Mnangagwa's leadership, the Second Republic continues to pursue a development agenda centred on modernisation, domestic capacity-building and expansion of economic opportunities.

🔸It’s not their fault that they have to play CAB3 and 2030 jingles left right and center. They are also barred from talking about anything topical and sensible cause the powers that be will get mad. They were once prevented from playing Winky D. Why do they not play “Tongogara”?
These unconstitutional restrictions leave very little wriggle room for a talk radio host who wants to be of substance. Compare Zim radio with say Radio 702 in South Africa. They can’t compete without that level of independence and editorial autonomy.
Remember what happened to MisRed when she tried to find out who the Zimbabwean of the Year was from her listeners? Remember what happened to Ruvheneko? And Napoleon.
The radio stations are actually doing very well given the environment.

Under this government & the previous, the only thing we have managed to do as a people collectively is to hate each other. Self definition which is the primary essence of independence has got us to a place where we understand it's ok for people to be killed for different opinions

📹 Marry Mubaiwa’s trial on charges of attempting to murder her ex-husband, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, has collapsed at the Harare Magistrates Court after the magistrate cited the lengthy period the case had taken to conclude.
“We won. Ms B [lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa] has done a lot of work. She’s done very well. It’s been unfair, but today we got justice. I’m so proud of her,” she said.
Looking at this from a Precision Medicine perspective makes for a fascinating case for investing in continental pharmacogenetics research and development of genetic diagnostic tools. Africa needs to invest in this like yesterday.

Eight contractors. 160km promised. Let’s see the names, contracts, allocated sections, deadlines and evidence of progress.
Public infrastructure demands public accountability.
Zimbabweans cannot keep driving through potholes while politicians cruise on promises!
The goal would be that every city has adequate diagnostic services to serve people quickly. But anyway..
