Writer-director Martin McDonagh is back with a vengeance with his latest film 'Wild Horse Nine'. John Malkovich delivers one of the best performances of his career in a movie that is a strong contender for my favorite new release in 2026: youtube.com/watch?v=iLxgCnxB…
#31DaysOfHorror 'Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon' (2026 - New Zealand-Canada). Delightful, over-the-top #metal-laden comedy w/over-the-top #gore, cartoon logic, and gross jokes. The subtler of the two Deathgasm movies. 7 out of 10.

#31DaysOfHorror 'The Coffee Table' (2022 - Spain) - A #gory black comedy/social satire/psychological horror movie about a newly-married parent coming to terms with an unthinkable accident. Brilliant, yet quite impossible to recommend. 8.5 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'Hokum' (2026 - Ireland-UAE) - A passive-aggressive writer visits an Irish inn to confront a childhood tragedy. Very frightening. Unique characters. Excellent work by all involved. 9 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'Sleepless' (2001 - Italy) An Argento #giallo I had not seen until last night! A copycat killer is at large in Turin. Pretty cinematography + a bit of the old ultraviolence + Music by Goblin. 6.5 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'Hallowarrior' (2026) After a #pandemic #apocalypse, a lonely survivor gets suspicious visitors on her favorite holiday, #Halloween... or is it all in her mind? Gory and enjoyable. 6 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'Byzantium' (2013 - UK-Ireland-Belgium-U.S.) A gorgeous #Gothic-#Punk aesthetic permeates this gory, romantic #vampire epic. Two ageless women move into a hotel by the sea. 7.5 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'The Cycle' (2026 - UK-U.S.) A forensic examiner investigates her father's mysterious death. Half #procedural, half #MonsterMovie. Leisurely-paced w/nice production design. 'X-Files' fans might dig it. 6.5 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'X' (2022) - What can I say that hasn't already been said? It wears its inspirations on its sleeve, though it's a solid #slasher with good performances. That's Chelsea Wolfe's haunting voice on the #soundtrack. 8 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror David Cronenberg's 'Videodrome' (1983 - Canada). A #surreal, compelling discovery narrative of a #man melding with #media. #EroticThriller that gives way to #BodyHorror, and an enigmatic, memorable climax. Unique. 9.5 out of 10.
#31DaysOfHorror 'Dr. Phibes Rises Again' (1972). Vincent Price leads a cast of familiar faces in a low-budget #absurdist cross between a #Hammer monster movie and 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'. Good script. Suitable for young horror fans. 7 out of 10.
