Major Cabinet Decisions for a Viksit Bharat! 🇮🇳
The Union Cabinet, led by PM @narendramodi, has approved key initiatives to boost sports goods and container manufacturing, enhance welfare of Central government employees and pensioners, and strengthen grassroots governance.
These decisions will promote self-reliance, employment, economic growth and rural development.

The Union Cabinet, under the leadership of PM @narendramodi, has approved:
✅ The Khelo India Sports Goods Manufacturing Scheme with an outlay of Rs 1,857 crore, to boost domestic sports equipment production, increase exports, generate employment and reduce import dependence.
✅ A 3% hike in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief, benefiting over 1.17 crore Central government employees & pensioners.
✅ The Container Manufacturing Promotion Scheme with an outlay of Rs 10,000 crore, to expand domestic container manufacturing capacity nearly tenfold, boosting local production and reducing dependence on imports.
✅ The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Gram Swaraj Yojana with an outlay of Rs 7,395.55 crore to strengthen grassroots governance and enable more effective rural development planning.

Spoke at the 2nd Plenary of @g20org #Atlanta.
✅ Underlined that the world today stares at an energy crisis, not of production, but of unpredictability & disruption, unaffordable costs, and challenges of access.
✅ Highlighted that deliberate attacks on energy trade & energy infrastructure are a calculated strategy to hold energy prices hostage.
✅ Emphasised that continuous distortions of energy markets through obstacles, sanctions & chokepoints are happening with increasing frequency, greater complexity & wider impact.
✅ Underscored that there appears little regard for the predicament of low-income countries.
✅ Stressed that convenient distinctions are being drawn between oil and gas. Selective carveouts speak for themselves.
✅ Reiterated that the knock-on effects & mutual dependence in a globalised market should not be underestimated.
✅ Reaffirmed that India needs reliable and predictable LPG supplies for its clean cooking needs.
✅ Reiterated that India’s National Mission on critical minerals spans exploration to recycling. India has also proposed a G20 Critical Minerals Circularity Initiative.
The G20 must display both understanding and leadership to keep energy markets open & predictable.
It must widen access to finance and advance storage, small modular reactors, green hydrogen and bio fuels.

Pleased to participate in the 1st Plenary of @g20org Foreign Ministers’ Meeting #Atlanta today. Emphasised that in the face of global challenges, military solutions will not work and diplomacy must be given a chance.
Also highlighted that:
➡️ Global South is disproportionately bearing the consequences of attacks on civilian shipping and seafarers, jeopardising the availability and cost of fuel, food and fertilizers.
➡️ Urgent need to preserve the freedom of navigation and ensure cessation of attacks within the framework of international law, especially UNCLOS. India and Liberia have launched a joint initiative to safeguard seafarers.
➡️ Right to industrialize is being denied through the flooding of markets, weaponizing supply chains, constricting market access and encouraging market distortions. This must cease.
➡️ Importance of building resilient and alternate connectivity, as the world de-risks and diversifies.
➡️ Tactical calculations should not lead to overlooking the dangers of terrorism. It is a high-risk activity which has come back to bite even the practitioners.
