Had a great time at #ASPiH2024 with the @RWT_paedsimed, @SimWardWolvo, @lucysarahmorse and Jen. Lots of learning and networking combined with the acquisition of a new team mascot Thank you Edinburgh and goodbye!

This this this this this 👇👇👇👇👇 Or, do one better…team up across your region and pay your rotating doctors centrally. And/or give longer placements in one department to those of us approaching the end of the training. Stability matters
NHS managers. If you’d like to know how you can make doctors lives better, change your HR processes do we don’t have to fill in all the same stuff as any other new employee. Providing 3 years of referees and employment history when I’m rotating back to you is a waste of time.

Watching all these competent, reasonable people being appointed to cabinet is like seeing the day team arrive after the night shift from hell. ❤️❤️❤️

Pregnant? Congratulations! From 1st September, you can protect your baby from the single commonest reason infants are admitted to hospital, which is absolutely tremendous news. Speak to your midwife or GP about RSV vaccination. gov.uk/government/publicatio…

This is a welcome (if temporary) relief. Thank you to all @NHSPracHealth & @NHSEngland who’ve listened to the outcry and realised how essential this service is. Both life and career saving for so many. Please fight to continue, so many of us will testify to how essential you are!

Laughing out loud at the idea that rotational trainees can access help via “their employer’s health and wellbeing schemes”. Occ health wait times are longer than most DiTs posts. And no chance of continuity of care when you’re employed by a different trust every 6-12 months
Lots of comment on @NHSPracHealth support service. For clarity. @NHS England is committed to ensuring all NHS staff receive the mental health support they need. The vast majority of this provision is, and always has been, via their employer’s health and wellbeing schemes... 1/x

Please sign and share…I’m gobsmacked that @NHSEngland think that providing services that help many doctors stay in work is not worth the money.
💥 NHS STAFF 💥 Please consider signing this open letter to @VictoriaAtkins & @AmandaPritchard at @NHSEngland expressing your dismay at their extraordinary decision to cut @NHSPracHealth funding for hospital staff. Please share widely 🙏 Letter here: forms.gle/YmXpi8dxSbW7URPF8

A few reflections on our conversation on the foundations of #MarthasRule thankyou to Rosi from @M_F_Count to my amazing @SomersetFT colleagues to the fabulous @Damian_Roland and to @JonnyBamber for excellent herding. #RCPCH24
Loads of food for thought in the #RCPCH24 session about Martha’s rule. Importance of hearing family’s voices and how we build a culture which enables true listening. Thanks to @Damian_Roland and @anna_annabav and colleagues for leading the discussion…1/
