If your app is making decent money and you list it on TrustMRR, you're actively asking people to copy you and eat your lunch. Do you think the 43% of Indian visitors to TrustMRR (according to Ahrefs) are there to: (1) buy your app for 5-7 figures, or (2) copy your proven app?

Indie hacking guru who started with a 100k euros gift from his parents, talking to his worldwide following: "We all start in the same place" He really learned all the tricks from his old boss Tai Lopez...

We all start at the same place: ignorant, 0% luck, 0 followers.

Is @google AI powered by @openai? What am I missing here? I threatened a libel lawsuit for the misinformation it was spreading about a brand, and it directed me to contact OpenAI legal department, and claimed they're responsible for Gemini output. Are they distilling ChatGPT?

Online for almost 20 years, first from Europe, now from Asia. The one habit that survived every move: I check the wifi before I check anything else.

Backend for your next side project. Nobody's watching, so be honest.

The boilerplate behind all my SaaS: auth, billing, API, database. Plain PHP, no framework. It will never be for sale, since almost nobody builds in pure PHP anymore. Makes it easy to keep: I never have to make it work for anyone else.

Someone always says vanilla PHP is dead. W3Techs has it on about 70% of sites with a known server-side language. Yes, a lot of that is WordPress. Still a lot of servers that never got the memo.

I announced 7 SaaS in 7 months. I'm at 3. The "7 months" part was a title, not a plan. Still going for 7, just not on a calendar that makes me build things nobody asked for.

I have 22k followers on this 16yo account, and roughly 100 of them are still alive. Starting over with a big number that doesn't mean anything is a strange feeling. Hello to the 100.

Spamova had its first renewal yesterday. $9. A person looked at the product, looked at the charge, and paid again. I've had bigger revenue days and none of them felt this good.

AIO by @Google are complete trash. I just asked for reviews about a brand. The AIO misrepresented their products (it was NOT coming from reviews), then advised me to click to get a search page for direct competitors... How is it even legal? My search was "[brand] reviews"

Remember how FOR YEARS crypto bros told us that Bitcoin was unavoidable and it would basically replace all fiat currencies? Turns out they changed their X bios, and these crypto bros turns AI bros are using literally the same arguments to push another tech that nobody wants.

Unpopular opinion: both of these guys suck. - Marc needs to constantly launch new products as, once the launch hype dies off, he can't sustain revenue. MailCheap marketing is bullshit and the tool is cheaper only if you send just 1 email per week. - Tyler is a big ego prick.
an excerpt from today's newsletter @marclou did I miss anything?

Obvious sign that @namecheap is now owned by private equity and intent of screwing over its customers: completely ridiculous price increases. Almost $20 for a .com renewal... On the other hand, you can transfer to @cloudflare and renew for less than $11. Fck private equity.

Verisign is raising its wholesale registry fee from $10.26 to $10.97 per domain/year ($0.71). Namecheap is using this to justify a $1 to $1.50 increase, bringing them closer to charging almost DOUBLE the wholesale price for renewals.

On one hand, you have people saying the Tesla marketing stunt is just key jiggling for men-children... On the other hand, you have men-children mad like a screen-addicted 12 year old you just told iPad game time is over. nitter.cf/Tesla/status/211090377…
Our design language has evolved since the last reveal: from S3XY to Cybertruck, Cybercab & Optimus Roadster is inspired by the SR-71 & F-35

Dirty little trick if you want your domain to claim all 10 results for your exact brand name search: deindex your homepage from Google. It appears if the homepage is not indexed, Google does not collapse results into 1 row with sitelinks.

If what AI companies are doing is completely legal and ethical, why do they resort to spoofing residential IP addresses to access your websites once you block their entire data centers?

Fun story: Instagram banned our Instagram account, created an AI slop page about the brand, and now ranks on page one for our brand name with their slop page that we have zero control over. 😢
