When her former leader was disclosed as a paedophile she didn’t feel the need to walk away but when Orangemen couldn’t parade in a Catholic community she has been itching to walk away. Tells you all you need to know
It was my favourite part of the entire show. I loved it all. Thank you to each and every one of the cast. #traitors
Bash and Romesh's choice of charities as winners has really annoyed some people. Oh dear. Anyway.
If you'd like to donate to either of them:
Choose Love - chooselove.org/
Refugee Council - refugeecouncil.org.uk/
#CelebrityTraitors
😊
The entire £83,000 #CelebrityTraitors prize fund going towards supporting refugees and queer displaced people feels bloody wonderful in such wretched times marked by fearmongering and inhumane politics – even more so knowing there will be many right-wingers enraged by that. ❤️

LOCAL MEDIA BIAS AND 'FRAMING' IN RESPECT OF FIRST MINISTER, MICHELLE O'NEILL.
Just a quick reminder, that NO elected representative here has been charged with any offence over Drumcree, let alone convicted.
This salient fact should be front & centre, whenever local Media Journalists & Broadcasters are questioning the DUP Leader Gavin Robinson.
In particular, whenever both he & his Party are now publicly demonising & attempting to politically isolate, the elected First Minister, Michelle O'Neill.
Yet somehow, this important point normally goes unmentioned by any of our local press & broadcasters to any of the DUP representatives on the airwaves.
Furthermore, it should also be noted that multiple local politicians (admirably) attended Drumcree to support the residents, including the SDLP Leader Claire Hanna, the Aontu Leader Peadar Tóibín and Gerry Carroll.
Yet the local media seen to focus almost entirely on the attendance at Garvaghy Road by just one political Party - Sinn Fein.
And in particular... it's elected First Minister, Michelle O'Neill.
A reminder that in the 2022 Assembly Election, Sinn Fein received over a quarter of a million First Preference Votes. A huge mandate, dwarfing that of any of it's rivals.
Emma Little-Pengelly had not received a single vote when she was co-opted into her role as Deputy First Minister by the DUP.
Yet, from today, we have the truly ludicrous situation here, where an unelected politician, (Emma Little-Pengelly), dictates where the elected First Minister can and cannot go...
However, you will not hear this salient point being expressed on the airwaves this morning, as the the usual suspect on BBC Radio Ulster continues his years-long assault on both Michelle O'Neill and Sinn Fein.
Michelle O'Neill is a highly impressive and courageous politician who is more than capable of handling herself against the torrent of abuse that she has faced in the NI Assembly and elsewhere.
However, that does not exclude the local media of their responsibilities to report in a factually credible and responsible manner.
The situation here with regard to local media bias is now becoming almost untenable.
Something needs to change and it must happen very soon...
HENRY JOY.

Not being nasty but why on earth would they have replaced Janette Manrara with Ellie Taylor is beyond me. I really can’t understand it. #ItTakesTwo #Strictly
I made sweet and sour chicken for dinner tonight and it was very tasty. Here is the recipe out of the Bored of Lunch Air fryer book. I just kept my chicken plain to reduce my cals.

Jamie, you show an immaturity and an extraordinary ignorance of the word “supremacy.” you might want to invest in a dictionary.
Chris Donnelly makes a perfectly reasonable and historically accurate point. The Orange Order is an exclusively Protestant institution with a long history of sectarian exclusion, political privilege and contentious marches. Yet Orange parades are accommodated across nationalist communities throughout NI, often without controversy.
And your response? “Nationalist supremacy.” Jesus wept, Have you even a notion what supremacy means? Let me give you a wee leg up , my legal eagle chum.
Supremacy: the condition of having superior power, authority or status over others. Now, let’s apply that definition to NI’s history, shall we?
Who presided over a state in which Catholics experienced systematic discrimination in housing, employment and political representation? Who defended a political system built around permanent unionist control? Who enjoyed privileged access to political power while nationalist communities struggled for equal treatment? And which exclusively Protestant institution became so closely intertwined with that political establishment? So do you want to phone a friend?
Unionist political dominance and the Orange Order’s historical relationship with it are textbook examples of institutional privilege and a supremacist political structure. You can Google that also
And let’s not forget that the Orange Order’s membership has included individuals associated with loyalist paramilitary organisations, the police and the defence forces. Yet you would have us believe this historically powerful institution is somehow being oppressed because residents object to its members marching through their neighbourhoods.
Then there’s your ridiculous comparison with the Catholic Church. Seriously? The Catholic Church exists primarily as a religious institution. The Orange Order is a religious, cultural and political fraternity with a long history of involvement in unionist politics. Religious exclusivity alone does not make an institution sectarian. Its conduct, rules and treatment of others matter.
Nobody is denying Orangemen their religion, their British identity, their traditions or their right to assemble peacefully.
What they are being denied is the supposed entitlement to exercise those rights wherever they please, regardless of the rights, wishes and historical experiences of the people living there.
Not sure you get the distinction you continually and conveniently refuse to acknowledge.
And here’s the part you really need to understand, Jamie.
NI operated under a political system in which unionism held institutional power and nationalism was treated as subordinate. The civil rights movement challenged precisely that inequality.
The GFA established principles of equality, parity of esteem and respect for both traditions. It did not replace unionist supremacy with nationalist supremacy. It rejected the principle that either community should dominate the other.
Equality isn’t nationalist supremacy, Jamie. It’s the rejection of supremacy altogether.
And perhaps that’s what troubles you and people of your ilk most. When you’ve grown accustomed to one tradition enjoying all that privilege, having to respect the equal rights of another can apparently feel like oppression.
Chris Donnelly understands that distinction perfectly well.
You, on the other hand, appear to be confusing the loss of historical privilege with the loss of human rights. And that, Jamie, says considerably more about your understanding of equality than it does about Chris Donnelly.
I had another meeting with Joe’s Social Worker this morning. I have decided to bring some positivity to the situation. I told her I know where Joe is going next year and it’s just up to the Trust to get there. It will happen it’s just a process they have to go through. 😊
Good morning all! I am nearly afraid to say it but I think the meds I am on for my heart failure have finally kicked in. My energy has improved significantly over the past few weeks. I am focusing on my walking and my sleep has improved. I am feeling better than I have in years.
Make sure to vote for our John and Katya on #Strictly tonight before 9pm!
