1/ Apocalyptic scenes in Samara following Ukrainian drone strikes on the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery show Donald Trump's powerlessness, say Russian warbloggers. They lament that the Ukrainians appear to be ignoring the man they once acclaimed as 'our Trumpushka'. ⬇️

I enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine the first week of war, went into the red zones on missions alongside the Ukrainians I served with, living with a permanent brain injury due to it. Many of my brothers lost their lives - among them American and Norwegian brothers. I married a Ukrainian. I gave birth to a Ukrainian. 1. No one owes me anything. Ukrainians don’t owe me shit. Not a thank you or a medal. Nothing. I didn’t go to Ukraine for fame and glory, nor did I offer my help as a transaction. 2. Whatever I do for Ukraine does not give me a free card to behave like shit. I’m not exempt from moral- or juridical matters. 3. I feel at home in Ukraine, but I respect the fact that it’s not. It’s their home. Their land. Their people being affected by this war. I created a life for myself in Ukraine and have a Ukrainian family, but I will always be a Norwegian in Ukraine, and like any guest entering someone’s house - it’s their culture and system I have to accept, no matter how I feel about it. And I don’t step into someone’s home and shit on them. 4. If my true agenda is to help Ukraine - my focus is directed towards Ukrainian organizations, people, entities of any kind. Any money and attention directed their way goes to Ukraine and stays in Ukraine. If it’s to help a military unit, to rebuild someone’s coffee shop, or for Ukrainians journalists to show their story to the world - it’s all domestic revenue which helps their society in one way or another. I’ll always say this : support Ukrainians in Ukraine instead of foreigners making a living off of them. Definitely do not come to Ukraine, use Ukrainians work to promote yours, and then tell them to be ashamed of themselves when calling it out and try to use your public platform to scrutinize them. Thank you for attending my Ted talk.

So basically what everyone feared would happen is happening.
Russian forces have begun taking civilians from occupied Oleshky to Russia, apparently disregarding previously announced agreements governing the operation. The operations are being conducted by the Russian military, without American representatives or teams from either side’s ombudsman office present. Russia’s state news agency TASS is openly filming the operation. There is no indication that civilians are being given a choice of where they wish to go. No buses or other vehicles designated to transport evacuees to Ukrainian-controlled territory are visible. The operation raises serious concerns that Russia is once again exploiting a humanitarian evacuation to forcibly transfer Ukrainian civilians. The parallels with the evacuation of Mariupol’s Azovstal steel plant are disturbing. Once again, Moscow appears to be disregarding agreed procedures while controlling the fate of Ukrainian civilians.

“Kushner told Zelensky that he should pause the strikes because he and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff were dedicating a lot of time, energy, and jet fuel to mediating with Moscow, one of the U.S. officials said. A 30-day pause on refineries would be a way for Ukraine to show gratitude, that U.S. official said.” An almost comical thing to tell a nation fighting for its existence. Lay down your weapons because we are exhausted from taking a private jet. wsj.com/world/ukraine-pauses…

Today, October 29 (as of now): Dnipro: 14 killed, 14 wounded. Chernihiv: 2 killed, 23 wounded. Kremenchuk: 3 killed, 15 wounded. Zaporizhzhia: a strike on a minibus, 1 dead. Civilians. All of them. Meanwhile, we’re supposed to celebrate “brilliant” humanitarian mission in Oleshky. russia keeps killing Ukrainians while the world celebrates a localized ceasefire. And Oleshky? They’ve managed to turn that into a complete fucking mess, too.

A US-brokered truce is to let hungry Oleshky residents leave. Those bound for Ukrainian-held territory, just across the river, go via Russia and Belarus. That may mean "filtration," as in Mariupol in 2022. ISW also warns Russia may use the truce to rebuild its forces. 🔗 euromaidanpress.com/2026/10/…

Today, Russia once again showed how it really feels about ending the war and seeking peace. The deliberate mass killing of civilians right on the streets and in residential buildings in several Ukrainian cities in a single day – these are Russia’s “arguments” in negotiations. Ukraine and the entire free world must respond to this with real strength. For every victim in Ukraine, Russian defense industry facilities must burn, and Moscow’s very ability to wage aggression must be destroyed. Only the military strength of Ukraine and its partners can stop the daily loss of life caused by bombs, drones, and missiles in the heart of Europe. I call on Ukraine’s partners to give the aggressor a fitting response to its daily terror. Long-range weapons to suppress Russia’s ability to wage its genocidal war, effective air defense systems to save the lives of Ukrainian civilians – this is what will truly bring peace closer. Only together can we stop Russian evil.

A massacre in the Dnipro passenger railway station today. A guided Russian drone targeted a crowded platform, killing at least 13 people and injuring many others, as per city officials. But diesel. But Russia wants peace. But don’t you dare hit their refineries.

The United States is a full ally of fascist Russia. It has arranged a local ceasefire in Kherson region, Ukraine, to deport the residents of Russian-occupied Oleshky to the Russian Federation. The USA is enabling the Russian invasion army to reinforce its positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, ruining years of work by Ukrainian defenders.

The United States is collaborating with the Russian fascist invaders in the ethnic cleansing of Ukrainians – a crime against humanity. The two allies intend to “disappear” the residents of Oleshky to a concentration camp in the Russian Federation instead of carrying out a humanitarian evacuation to the city of Kherson.

Important story by one of Ukraine's greatest journalists, @ZarinaZabrisky. If you are not following her, do it now.
"Within days, Russian soldiers poisoned their dog, an Alabai, along with all the other large dogs in Oleshky. They killed Liudmila’s nextdoor neighbor and raped his wife. A local butcher disappeared; no one knew whether he was also killed. Some neighbors were detained and beaten. Armed, masked soldiers searched Liudmila’s home three times, confiscating the couple’s Ukrainian passports and leaving them with no documents. And yet, Liudmila and Andriy stayed. They got a new puppy, also an Alabai. Russian troops started to move into civilian houses, parking tanks in what once were gardens."
