🚨 This is, without exaggeration, one of the most bizarre and disturbing posts I've ever made about a professor, and it begs the question: what in the fresh hell is going on here? Forgive the grainy image, but I've been unable to find any clear photograph of Colgate University's "Visiting Professor" Omar Alsayyed beyond this distorted one. Given that academics typically have readily available professional photographs, this is very... odd. It's been over 5 months, and I still have no response from Colgate University or the Department of Education about its employment of Omar Alsayyed in its Women's, Gender & Sexuality department. I have no verifiable information on how long he's been in the United States. He was a "student" at NYU a few years ago, but other than that, there is very little, almost NOTHING on his CV. Again, that is beyond rare in academia for a professor. If you look at his course schedule (pic on right) it's filled with gender classes, all except one: The Middle East. In April, during an anti-ICE seminar for faculty on campus, he compared ICE operations to the War on Terror. He angrily declared that when America ran out of land to "imperialize" in its own continent, it expanded outward to conquer more land. He stood before his colleagues and portrayed America as a nation born of violence, dismissing its founding as "settler colonialism." He wrapped up his rant by stating that the current state of America is just a "continuation of violence." QUESTION: Who in the hell is this foreign agitator and why are American tax dollars funding his salary?
