A Berkeley chemical engineer who suffered years of unexplained illness discovered through a spy camera from Amazon that her coworker, David Xu, was poisoning her food and water with cadmium, a toxic heavy metal for nearly 18 months between 2017 and 2019. The victim experienced significant health problems and at times required emergency care at a hospital. Newly released video shows Xu appearing to put a substance in her water bottle in 2019.
Xu was arrested that year and charged with attempted murder and two counts of poisoning, offenses that could have sent him to prison for life. But under a plea deal, the attempted murder charge and one poisoning count were dropped. Xu pleaded no contest to one felony poisoning charge and received two years of probation, with credit for one day served. He completed probation in March and is now seeking to have his felony conviction dismissed.

Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

Trump didn’t finesse anyone. He stated loudly and repeatedly what his intentions were, in this case telling Bibi to finish the job, supplying him with two-ton bombs, and building resorts in the Gaza Strip.
Pro-Palestine voters simply chose to ignore everything he said, and they’re ignoring everything he’s doing right now.

Historian of fascism here. This is an escalation of an attempt to normalize extreme violence, ritualize violence, militarize the country, and make violence entertaining so when they ask you to commit violence in their name, you will be ready.
Trump & Hegseth aren't just proposing to livestream an execution for people who want to watch.
They're proposing to broadcast a man being shot to death, even if deserved by our system, and even if you agree with this version of the death penalty, knowing that the footage will be clipped, shared, and pushed into social media feeds.
Including those of our children. The gruesome image will be everywhere.
Parents will have virtually no control over whether their kids see it. Once those images are released, there is no taking them back.
Hope all the parents in the Trump Admin are cool with that.

My sources are telling me Talarico is in a mental health facility. His campaign has stopped actively planning events in the vital homestretch of the campaign.
If this is true, this is actually a time to pray for Talarico. We should, of course, savagely mock his smug, awful campaign advisors, by all means...and while yes, of course, this would be disqualifying for Talarico's aspirations to be a Texas Senator, we must hold empathy for anyone undergoing crisis. Campaigns are brutal, and not everybody is cut out for it. You need very thick skin. As much as I don't want Talarico anywhere near government, I also don't want wish him harm, and no political office is worth having a breakdown. His awful advisors are at fault for this. They pushed him to be something he isn't, and it didn't work.
I'm praying that this isn't true, and he's OK. You want to win these fights on the battlefield of ideas, not the minefield of poor health.

I remember a Story about Lionel Richie, He went to a Mercedes Dealership and the salesman was rude and basically said Boy you don’t have enough money to buy one of these. He said Call my Bank, after he got off the Phone he was like Yes Sir Mr Richie which one do you want to buy? Lionel said I want to buy one for all my band members 🤣😂. Satisfaction watching them eat their words.

When I was in college I sold computers retail. There were two of us on commission one day when a woman came in and was looking at laptops. The other salesman sized her up and decided she didn’t have any money. I had been telling him you never know who has money and you should help everybody equally. I went over and showed her the laptop computers, and then she wanted to look at the desktops. After about 20 minutes, she said she needs 27 PCs and laptops. It ended up being my largest sale.

In college, I worked in a high-end boutique and a heavier-set, older lady came in. Well, we had a line of Go Silk clothes that I knew would complement her figure, perfectly. I spent several hours with her, she was fantastic and she spent $2,800, which was unusual back then (90s).
She became a regular customer of mine, because I treated her like I want to be treated. My coworkers were stunned. They learned a lesson that day.
