Independent journalist was able to gain access to a building in Los Angeles, California because the page-in system to get in was broken What he discovered was DOZENS of home healthcare and hospice businesses IN ONE BUILDING Some of the doors don’t even have signs for the business and many of the names just sound fake If you were running a business for hospice, you wouldn’t want 20 other hospice businesses right next door for competition…. California is going to be 100x the fraud of Minnesota

Introducing the Lunar Library II: the largest archive of Earth, destined for the Moon next month. The Lunar Library II is 60M+ pages and includes the @Wikipedia, @rosettaproject, & more, safeguarded using NanoFiche and DNA storage technology. It's not just text, this is a cultural mosaic, archiving music, photography, and film, with contributions from partners like @SETIInstitute's The Earthling Project, the @AldrinFamilyFdn, and more. Compared to the first Lunar Library, which crash landed on the Moon in 2019, the Lunar Library II has double the data density and will be more discoverable upon the successful landing of the @Astrobotic Peregrine lunar lander set to launch December 24th, 2023. The Lunar Library 2 is an instance of The Billion Year Archive initiative, which aims to build a solar system-wide library system that can preserve, connect, and share humanity’s knowledge for eternity. And we need your help. Please join us to preserve our collective heritage, for the future. We need more people like you. Creatives, scientists, technologists, archivists, journalists, and more to further this mission, across space and time. Learn more here: archmission.org/lunar-librar… Sent with love, from Earth 💙

"The reform effort [of delaying Algebra] failed to meet its goals. Rather than opening opportunities to all students, delaying Algebra until ninth grade limited opportunities for advanced math coursework"
Starting in 2019, supposedly in the name of equity, San Francisco’s barred all students from taking Algebra until ninth grade. A recent study of the policy finds, surprise surprise, that it was a massive failure—that it even exacerbated inequalities. fordhaminstitute.org/nationa…

Sadly, we do not teach much about acceleration in teacher ed undergrad or grad programs. #gtchat
A2 It is still perplexing that misperceptions about acceleration simply do not match the research. Educators’ beliefs and practices persist which are contrary to what researchers know to be true - that well planned and guided acceleration works. (1/2) #gtchat

Replying to @realScottPeters
Agreed. Most people agree you can differentiate only 1 or 2 grades in either direction
