The correlation between $baton and solana:pumpCmXqMfrsAkQ5r49WcJnRayYRqmXz6ae8H7H9Dfn is in fact incredibly strong.
The numbers on the right go from -1 to +1:
- +1: both coins move exactly together
- 0: no link at all
- -1: they move in opposite directions
The shaded band above 0.39 is the "linked" zone. Anything below -0.39 would mean they move against each other.
- Green line (0.80): the CURRENT correlation, which is very strong. When PUMP moves, BATON almost always follows.
- Blue line (0.66): the 12-day baseline. It's slower and shows the link has held for days, not just a few candles.
- "recale" markers: moments where the link broke for a bit and then snapped back.
The box in the top right adds a few things:
- Amplitude x2.64: BATON tends to move about 2.6x as much as PUMP, in both directions.
- Who leads: none: neither coin moves first, they move at the same time.
- vs PUMP 4d: -43%: over the last 4 days BATON has lagged behind PUMP.
So the link is real and strong. Just remember that the x2.6 works both ways, up and down.
I firmly believe $PUMP can and will be a 100BN+ asset, so you can also start to see what that will mean for BATON too.
Pass it on.

not sure if any other meme on @Pumpfun has implemented this yet, but $BATON is putting the flywheel into action.
our community is growing stronger because we embraced BATON betas as communities, not just tokens. we invited their members into our GC, started raiding together, and turned separate communities into one bigger family.
ofc many betas fade on the dip, but key ones like solana:FZ9BqVmfANPMMD6DogBmkn9uXBPqivNhr1Gu1awGgprS and $PVE are still with us. both have strong narratives, and i have no doubt we can grow together.
this is the flywheel pumpfun proposed, implemented in real life rather than just talked about:
$PUMP ↔ $BATON ↔ BATON BETAS
when communities help each other grow instead of competing for scraps, everyone has more reasons to stay.
Baton
Qwerty shares is two conviction plays right now, $BATON & $CASHCAT
“I always like to find a nice coin that looks good before the next onchain season starts to heat up. So I picked my two coins which are BATON and CASHCAT”
“I have a thesis that even if none of the main Robinhood coins go back to ATH, I still think at these -70%/-80% levels, for CASHCAT, there is a really good trade to be played there. So, I’ve been building quite a big swing position around the low 100 millions that I hope to hold until crypto starts making its next leg”
“Baton is kinda a bet on onchain and I think it will benefit as solana:pumpCmXqMfrsAkQ5r49WcJnRayYRqmXz6ae8H7H9Dfn continues to do well”

this chart should scare the shit out of anyone trading meme coins.
DOGE reached nearly 90B. SHIB 40B. PEPE over 10B. yet today we’re celebrating new runners hitting 1M.
imagine running a casino where you add thousands of new tables every day without bringing in more gamblers.
more tables. same players. less money at each table.
eventually nobody wins enough to keep playing.
that’s exactly what dilution is doing to the trenches. we don’t have a shortage of memes, we have a shortage of concentrated demand.
pump pairs could fundamentally change that.
instead of thousands of disconnected launches competing for liquidity, imagine activity concentrating around 5 major ecosystems.
new tokens can trade against established assets like solana:Hg5Ja55T5wESq4vyFoiVCMeHXtGyVA69X2UHq8hgpump instead of SOL. $50 jeets chase microcaps, midcap traders buy established betas, and size whales deploy into deeper parent assets.
different risk appetites, same connected economy.
but the biggest shift could be how the market values these coins.
right now, traders anchor to the last runner. if yesterday’s winner topped at $1M, suddenly $1M becomes everyone’s perceived ceiling.
what happens when traders start valuing new memes relative to their parent ecosystem instead?
imagine PUMP at 3B, BATON at 300M, and a BATON beta at 30M.
each just 10% of the layer above it. not price targets, but a completely different valuation framework.
suddenly a $5M beta isn’t being compared to yesterday’s $1M runner. it’s being compared to a $300M parent.
the benchmark changes, and so does the perceived ceiling.
there’s also a natural pricing relationship. if BATON rises while a beta maintains its BATON exchange rate, that beta rises in dollar terms. BATON trading against PUMP creates the same potential dynamic upstream.
stronger PUMP, stronger BATON, higher dollar valuations for successful betas.
a rising tide can lift all ships, provided relative demand holds.
and the economics go beyond price.
new pairs can route activity through BATON and generate fees in the paired asset. successful launches can attract more traders, liquidity and builders. increased platform revenue can also support PUMP through pumpfun’s buyback-and-burn mechanism.
more successful launches create more activity. more activity strengthens the parent ecosystem’s network. stronger ecosystems attract more capital and launches.
instead of constantly fragmenting liquidity, activity has a chance to compound.
so why BATON over other pump pairs?
BATON has the original pumpfun lore, was the first coin paired with PUMP, and is already positioned as a parent asset for new launches with 700+.
anyone can create another pair. they can’t recreate being first, and building an established network of traders, liquidity and communities takes time.
it’s the same principle behind Ethereum’s moat. the advantage isn’t simply the token, it’s the economy built around it.
if pump pairs become the structure that consolidates the trenches, BATON has a legitimate shot at becoming its flagship.
the next big meme winner might not be another isolated 100x. it might be the ecosystem that hundreds of potential 100x opportunities build around.
we don’t need fewer degens or fewer launches. we need fewer disconnected economies.
pump pairs could be the structural shift this market needs.
$BATON could become the face of it.
because if we keep adding supply without giving capital a reason to stay, every new runner will keep fighting over a smaller piece of the same pie.

I’ve been meeting with a lot of investors recently, and the biggest reason people don’t believe the revenue is real is simply that they don’t understand the user base actually using the product. If you’re in doubt, please reach out, and I’ll give you a tour of the Baton office, where we have insight into all of the pump foundations data.

$BATON finally got rid of weak hands that stifled its growth over the past few weeks. With $PUMP recovering the hardest from yesterdays low and distribution now way bette, I think the skies are clear towards $50m+
funny how nobody needs a reason to buy when price is pumping...
but the second it pulls back, everyone suddenly needs a ten paragraph thesis
I'll give you one:
strong communities are formed during red, not chased in green
that’s why i’m bidding $BATON
this is going to be the biggest dog coin community on pumpfun!!!
pass the baton
bottom checked
I’ve spent the past week trying to establish a clearer relationship between $PUMP and $BATON, and the current market has finally given me one.
With $PUMP down 40% from its ATH, $BATON is down 66%. I expected Baton to be off at least 80% in that kind of drawdown, so it has held up better than I anticipated. To me, that confirms its role as leveraged exposure to $PUMP and reinforces my thesis about its perpetual memetics. As long as PUMP never goes to zero, BATON wouldn’t.
Perhaps the most interesting feature is that $BATON’s downside has been less aggressive than I expected relative to the potential upside. When sentiment turns and $PUMP begins its speedrun back to ATH, I believe $BATON will follow and will deliver around a very aggressive exposure to the upside.
In summary:
Downside correlation to PUMP: 1.5x
Upside correlation: Undefined/unlimited
Know what you hold. Baton is more than a meme

I'm considering selling 1% of my PUMP bag to swap into $BATON and get leveraged exposure to PUMP without the risk of liquidation,
Sounds pretty interesting
