The power generation sector is emerging as a major market opportunity for low-carbon ammonia. Interest in co-combustion with ammonia is growing — particularly in Japan and South Korea — as utilities look to reduce GHG emissions from coal power plants. Our Blue Point Joint Venture partners, JERA and Mitsui, are set to supply significant volumes of low-carbon ammonia from Blue Point One for exactly this purpose.
