I support Andy Burnhams policies to reindustrialise the UK and to create the NCS (National Care Service). But Labours "Hope Again" should not have to involve having to say "Nope Again" to the EU!

The Prime Minister is set to announce new trade deals with the European Union worth billions of pounds, as part of plans to forge a closer relationship between Britain and Europe.
Andy Burnham will meet top European leaders Antonio Costa and Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels later this month when the deals are expected to be announced, including a major agricultural agreement and a youth visa scheme.

🇷🇸 First they ousted the government. Now they're cleaning up the country: Serbian students take to the streets with brushes and buckets
After nearly two years of protests and a victory in parliamentary elections, Serbian students have returned to the streets — this time armed with rags, brushes, and cleaning supplies. Alongside volunteers, they're removing graffiti and cleaning underpasses, walls, and public spaces.
The protest movement began after the Novi Sad railway station canopy collapsed in November 2024, killing 16 people. In the October 25 elections, the student-backed list won around 53% of the vote, while Aleksandar Vučić acknowledged defeat.
Now, members of the movement say they want to reclaim their cities and open a new chapter in Serbia's history.
First they cleaned up politics. Now they're cleaning up the streets.

BREAKING: UK and EU agree deal to scrap Brexit red tape over food exports.
The deal removes checks and red tape that hit exporters after the UK exited the EU's single market.
At this point, you must be a fool not to support Labour and Burnham in repairing the damage of Brexit.
The exodus from the Deform sinking ship is beginning
After considerable thought, I have resigned my membership of Reform UK and decided to rejoin the Conservative Party.
Over recent months, I have become increasingly frustrated with Reform's embrace of left-wing economic policies, growing social conservatism, and a concerning shift towards nationalism, particularly its support for protectionist measures such as tariffs.
I have also become disillusioned with the apparent lack of tolerance for internal criticism. Having previously received ridicule from Reform supporters for defending the principle that being gay or transgender should never be a crime, I have increasingly questioned whether my commitment to individual liberty is shared by those around me.
Ultimately, my political ideology has not changed. I remain committed to individual liberty, free-market economics, limited government, and personal responsibility. Rather, I believe Reform UK has moved away from the principles that initially attracted me to the party.
Whilst I recognise that the Conservatives are far from perfect, I believe they offer greater opportunities for open debate, constructive criticism, and the advancement of my political beliefs.

NEW: Britain faces an “unprecedented” rise in cyberattacks in the coming months and too many businesses and individuals are “wilfully blind” to the looming dangers, its head of cyber security has warned
In a stark message delivered in a speech today, Richard Horne, head of the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre, says the country is at a “Sliding Doors” moment
“In the coming months, we face a real prospect of an unprecedented rise in the number of cyber incidents.”
“Far too many of our organisations and supply chains rest on weak technology and operational foundations.”
“If leaders of organisations of every size and type do not take the responsibility now to make different choices then they will one day have to look their investors, shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, families and friends in the eye and explain why, despite knowing the consequences, they failed to make the choices required.
“When food isn't on the shelves, when lights aren't on, businesses have gone under. We may have to explain that we saw the warning signs, understood the risks and still didn't make the right choices. Why we remained wilfully blind.”
“Every day, our military networks are subjected to sustained and persistent, widespread attempts to penetrate our systems. Including notable campaigns by Russia that intentionally fall below the threshold of armed conflict as they escalate their attempts at hybrid warfare.”
“Despite the pressures of the Middle East conflict, Iran is still carrying out malicious cyber operations globally including against the UK and individuals that are seen as a threat to the regime putting them at risk of physical harm.”
“And we know that China highly likely has the intent and is best positioned to use AI for operations against our critical national infrastructure and other strategic targets with their activity representing the most sophisticated and sustained cyber challenge the UK faces.”

The Times: British troops will be allowed to return fire if Russia attacks the mission in Ukraine
Nearly 3,000 troops from countries belonging to the “coalition of the willing” will conduct exercises in Poland to rehearse a possible deployment of forces to Ukraine after a ceasefire.
The Multinational Force for Ukraine (MNF-U) could arrive in the country as early as one month after a peace agreement is reached. Western officials say the mission will be defensive but will allow troops to respond to Russian attacks.
The expected contingent will likely be significantly smaller than the force Ukraine considers necessary to deter Moscow. Initially, British military officials proposed deploying a total of 64,000 troops to the country.

🚨 NEW: Western officials say British troops will be able to fire back if they're attacked by Russia in Ukraine after a ceasefire
It comes as thousands of European troops head to Poland for "Exercise Koalicja" to rehearse plans for a UK and French-led multinational force that would enter Ukraine after a peace deal to help rebuild its military and protect its skies and seas
The UK's role in the exercise will involve:
- 300 British troops taking part across land, air and sea
- RAF Typhoon jets flying sorties alongside a Voyager refuelling aircraft to practise missions to reassure commercial airlines when Ukrainian airspace reopens
- Soldiers from the British Army's 7 Brigade (the 'Desert Rats') practising the movement of troops, equipment and supplies
- Tests of counter-drone capabilities and other measures to prepare against a "full spectrum of threats" from Russia
The force will be commanded by British Lieutenant General Tom Bateman and the exercise will run from 9-22 November, involving 2,800 troops from 11 nations

💔 Not only people but also dozens of dogs were evacuated from Oleshky — they were transported in cages and pet carriers.
Melania Trump: “More than 750 people are being evacuated from Oleshky”
“Our priority is saving lives. A convoy is ready to safely evacuate more than 750 people who have voluntarily chosen to leave Oleshky.
The convoy consists of 25 buses, 50 medical personnel and ambulances.
All aspects of the operation, including safe entry into and departure from Oleshky, have been agreed upon by the Russian and Ukrainian leaders,” the US First Lady wrote.
Earlier, Russian human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova said the humanitarian mission had been completed without incident.
