Thinking about moving to a larger ISP for more experience

No Astros tonight? @SportsTalk790

Update: I put in maybe 10 applications, no responses. Interestingly, I haven't seen a single posting for a "junior" network engineer or admin.

One man's e-waste is another man's home lab! I really need a rack for all this stuff...

Applied for a network engineer position, wish me luck :)

Work crew thought it'd be funny to dig up our fiber on Christmas Eve :)

Y'all I feel so proud of myself. This is the first time I've written code for a job, for something that is actually useful. Now to clean it up lol...

Currently reinventing the wheel - writing python to generate network maps in zabbix

Accidentally spent my entire day off experimenting with network automation with netmiko

Finished taking notes on ccnp encor ocg chapter 2 and 3...feeling more confused about stp than when I started tbh :) time to go back through and mess around in the lab

Time to play ffxiv dawntrail :)

Yall... working in the noc taking calls after a hurricane is not fucking fun. We've got techs completely tied up just keeping nodes running with generators and customers are pissed at me for not proving hourly updates...

Working on setting up a practice lab for the NOC. Got a Zabbix server stood up and polling a Cisco router via SNMP, and my manager has some old Juniper and Extreme gear coming my way. Fun stuff :D

Passed JNCIA-Junos with a 92% :D now to relax

Finished the CCNA to JNCIA course and got a 75% off voucher. I passed the practice assessment, so gonna go ahead and take the exam this weekend!

Finally, a slow day in the NOC. I managed to fit in a good chunk of Juniper's CCNA to JNCIA course :)
