NHAI has introduced Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) Tolling to enable faster, seamless and barrier-free journeys on National Highways. Using advanced technologies such as FASTag and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), MLFF allows vehicles to pass through tolling locations without stopping, helping reduce travel time, improve fuel efficiency and enhance commuter convenience. Already operational at locations across Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana and now Tamil Nadu, MLFF represents a major step towards smarter and more efficient National Highway travel. The FASTag Local Pass facility is making daily travel easier and more convenient for residents living near National Highway toll plazas. Available through the Rajmargyatra App, eligible users residing within the notified local area can apply for a Local Pass digitally and enjoy hassle-free travel without repeated toll payments. With more than 450 toll plazas now live on the platform, including key locations such as Bijwasan Fee Plaza on Dwarka Expressway and Khedki Daula Fee Plaza on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, the service is helping simplify toll-related procedures for local commuters.
