In the paper, on @PoPpublicsphere, @Vinceman86 and I show that, historically (1870s-2010s), left parties in Western Europe have reduced inequalities when in government, but that their equalising effect has become null since the 1980s. cambridge.org/core/journals/…

🆕 Great to see our work on the determinants and measurement of individual-level issue salience now out in @EJPRjournal (Open Access)! With the amazing @GefjonOff, we advocate for the use of issue-specific priority questions to measure individual-level issue prioritisation. 1/3
Through comparative and longitudinal analysis of survey data from ICCP and SOEP, we show that a) different socio-demographic characteristics predict issue prioritisation on different (economic and cultural) issues; and b) predictors of attitudes on and salience assigned to 2/3
issues frequently differ, highlighting the importance of separate theorisation and empirical analysis. In the paper, we also discuss the substantive implications of our analyses across and within individuals. Read (OA): doi.org/10.1017/S14756765251…
