We shouldn’t boycott our own Commonwealth Conference. That’s a coward’s way out of this argument.
We are the lead country in this powerful group, and it would be far better, and far more British, to take on the left wing governments peddling their tired old talking points face to face. We must show global leadership, not fear.
A proper reading of history is important, and if we have to read it to their faces, we will.

The greatest consequence of social media is that people like you have had your influence reduced to dust.
You are the DVD player of modern media.
Utterly obsolete.

Absolute silence in the press and in the papers or on the news.
Imagine if this was a @reformparty_uk mp??? There’d be absolute pandemonium all over the airways, in the papers and on the news channels.

The concept of “operating at a loss” only exists in the Public sector.
In the Private sector, you operate at a profit or your business fails.
This is why people who work in the Public sector, should never be in control of the rules around Private enterprise.

So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

As an Aston Villa fan, and someone who can’t stand Jamie Carragher, this is incredibly embarrassing.
Taking legal action against a football pundit over a few hurty words just makes us look insecure.
Why are we even giving this man more attention?

NOW — The Home Office has released the list of social media posts its Standards and Compliance Unit observed about Prevent in 2024.
The department disclosed:
• A post of mine criticising a local-council training module that directed staff to report anyone sharing “anti-immigration views” to counter-terrorism police.
• A post from @Con_Tomlinson criticising the Home Office’s RICU unit and the fact Prevent designated Douglas Murray a far-right extremist.
Dozens of other public posts and articles are listed raising the same position, “Prevent training focuses heavily on the far-right while downplaying Islamist extremism.”
This unit, known as “StaCU” - is collecting and logging criticism of Prevent’s training bias.
The original request for this material was refused under national-security and health-and-safety exemptions.
Disclosure only happened after the applicant went to the ICO.

I’ve tried to find myself in the video because I remember this pretty clearly.
I think I’m one row back just out of shot on the left of the screen.
It’s completely beyond me how and why Caroline has presented herself as the victim here. She was bloody rude and really quite confrontational and she did it for no other reason than Nigel is Nigel and she wanted to give him a piece of her mind.
Anything other than it being a bit of a rush and a squeeze because of the occasion is nonsense.
From what I remember Caroline was both the instigator and the aggressor.

Patrick Stewart. Turned up so early and so unobtrusively to be a star in the reasonably priced car, we mistook him for a delivery driver and asked him to go round the back. Took his hat off and said, “But I’m the captain of the Enterprise”. Fucking nice guy.

"I am truly perplexed that so many of my friends are against another mosque being built. I think it should be the goal of everyone living in a town to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus the mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance."
"That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque; thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, "The Turban Cowboy," and the other, a topless bar, would be called "You Mecca Me Hot."
"Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called " Iraq of Ribs."
“Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret," with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods", and on the other side a liquor store called "Morehammered."
"All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of non Muslims.”
Yes we should promote tolerance, and you can do your part by passing this on. And if you are not laughing or smiling at this point... It is either past your bedtime, or it's midnight at the oasis and time to put your camel to bed!!

Hi @campbellclaret
You say Zia has a "status symbol bodyguard"
Do you think he might have security bc his colleague & friend, Ann Widdecombe, was just murdered by a suspected left-wing extremist? Who is also suspected of trying to murder Nigel Farage, too?
Very enjoyable evening in Warwick with an audience clearly supporting the idea that Brexit was a disaster and net zero is the only way to go. Nice of @libdemdaisy to be there on her birthday! We all drank to her health afterwards apart from @ZiaYusufUK who legged it with his status symbol bodyguard. Fascinating to see how he did not make a single positive argument for Brexit. They never do. He has lovely shoes though, but a very weak handshake which is never a good sign in anyone.

Our country is increasingly controlled by entrants into the victim olympics.
@tonyvaughanMP took his aide's phone off her to join a zoom call without asking nicely.
He hung up on her twice without saying goodbye when he was in the middle of trying to find a meeting venue.
He threw a thank you party for her where he gave her a hug that she hadn't asked for.
And for these he's been found guilty of breaching the parliamentary code of conduct.
I hope this woman gets the help she clearly needs. And stops wasting tax payer money.

For the Westminster bubble, Campbell getting challenged on BBC Question Time is treated like political pantomime and studio theatre.
For those who lived through the consequences of the 2003 invasion, there is nothing entertaining about it.
One hundred and seventy-nine British service personnel came home from Iraq in flag-draped coffins. Thousands more returned with shattered limbs, catastrophic brain injuries, and minds destroyed by blast trauma.
While New Labour spin doctors were massaged in Downing Street corridors and redrafted intelligence dossiers to manufacture a pretext for war, young British soldiers were sent into meat grinders like the siege of CIMIC House in Al-Amarah and the streets of Basra—patrolling in lightly armoured "Snatch" Land Rovers that ministers knew were death traps against shaped IEDs.
From the desert wastes of Iraq to the legendary brotherhood of the SAS—where British and Commonwealth operators like New Zealanders in 22 SAS fought and bled shoulder to shoulder, from the harrowing evasion of Bravo Two Zero to black-ops counter-terror raids in Baghdad—our soldiers fulfilled their oath with unmatched courage. They fought for the man on their left and the man on their right. They did not die for corporate reconstruction contracts, Downing Street vanity, or Blairite messianism.
For over twenty years, Alastair Campbell has enjoyed lucrative book deals, fawning media platforms, and podcast respectability lecturing the country on "integrity in public life".
Calling him to account on live television isn’t a political stunt. It is the absolute bare minimum owed to 179 dead British troops, their grieving families, and the generational destruction unleashed in our name.
@ZiaYusufUK said to his face what millions of veterans and citizens have wanted said for two decades. #bbcqt
