When I was in primary school in Nigeria, one of my teachers flogged me so badly that I went home with cane marks all over my body.
I was crying when my mother saw the marks. She asked me who did it, and I told her.
This woman didnโt even shout. She just told me to get ready for school the next morning.
I shouldโve known something was wrong because my mother was unusually quiet. ๐ญ๐ญ
The next morning, she showed up at my school holding her own cane.
She walked straight into my classroom, asked me to identify the teacher, and before anybody could understand what was happening, my mother started flogging this woman.
The teacher was screaming, other teachers were running in, and the whole classroom was in absolute chaos.
Then my mother did something Iโll never forget.
SHE HANDED ME THE CANE AND TOLD ME TO FLOG THE TEACHER TOO.
I was literally shaking because just yesterday, this same woman had been flogging the life out of me, and now my mother was asking me to return the favor. ๐ญ๐ญ
Anyway, after everything, my mother took my hand, walked me out of that school, and transferred me somewhere else.
