Lauren Child Rules Ok! Just such a gem of a treat of a joy of thrill to have her on the island, surely one of the truly great writers (and illustrators) this country has produced in the last thirty years. Do please have a listen..

Yes, the newspapers were right: joy was general all over the island. Thanks to the brilliant @IndPodAwards for a lovely evening, and for throwing this trinket our way - @NadiaShireen and @frankcottrell_b are already arguing over who gets to keep it in their hammock.

Delighted to have been invited to 10 Downing Street yesterday evening. Honoured to be able to talk about all the great work being done in our schools.
'A Little History of Surreal Music' was a blast to make in every way possible. @IMcMillan gets lost in a surrealist maze en route to Uncle Frank's wake but still hopes to get there before the Oompah Band arrives. Tomorrow at ten past lobster on @bbcradio3 bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0023q8…

As I tidied, I joined @NadiaShireen @frankcottrell_b & their visitor, the transformative nutty @Louiestowell, on the Island of Brilliant. A good time was had by all. I was moved to tears by the tribute to the late, good, Malcolm Donaldson. Give it a listen podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcas…

The letter about the debt to Spellow Lane Library made me weep even before @frankcottrell_b did. Alex McCormick whose GoFundMe raised £250,000 was inspirational. Bonus interview with @chrishaughton - apt since a place of information was destroyed by disinformation. @alexlouisemc
A very special, dare we say unmissable, episode in lots of ways. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcas…

What does it mean when someone burns down a library? This the usually paradisal Island of Brilliant hears voices from Spellow library with the help of the indomitable campaigner @alexlouisemc - if she was a song she'd be Bring Me Sunshine
This episode means so much to us.
