I dove into our union's archives to learn about this remarkable woman who helped lead our first major strike, was elected local president and then international vice president. She was fired for union activity and won her job back. Lessons 85 years later newsguild.org/eighty-five-ye…
I've added my name to this petition. It's disturbing that so many news companies (looking at you @USATODAY) are spitting misinformation onto articles. It needs to stop.

🚨NEW: Journalists at two Ohio newspapers owned by USA TODAY Co. are withholding their bylines from stories featuring an AI bot that shares inaccurate information. The tool violates the company’s standards of requiring a “human in the loop,” raising editorial integrity concerns.
We need news, not slop.

Should an AI bot write your news? The unionized employees of the @PioneerPress don't think so.

Our members at The Lancet are taking further strike action for fair pay this week.
Elsevier, who owns The Lancet, made an adjusted operating profit of over a billion last year so the company can afford to address pay erosion.

The Pentagon Press Association just released this statement:
"The Pentagon Press Association expresses its solidarity with White House reporters banned by President Donald Trump. The PPA notes that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expressed his support for the decision, almost a year after he took the unprecedented step of withdrawing the valid press credentials of nearly the entirety of the Pentagon Press Corps. Our position then, as it is now, is that media access to the Pentagon, as well as others federal agencies, is critical to ensuring the flow of independent, accurate information to the American people about what their government does in their names."
