I borrowed and lent on Zest, and on Aave before that, and could never tell if a rate was fair. Every lender quoted its own number.
So I built the rate I needed. Now I've written down why it has to work the way it does.
Four pages.
The SBOR white paper is out.
What a reference rate for loans against bitcoin must be, how SBOR computes it, and what changes when lenders and borrowers use the same rate.
Stamped on Bitcoin, Arc, Base, Hyperliquid, Solana and Stacks.

Onchain assets become on-chain collateral. And collateral needs a reference rate, the way repo has SOFR.
That's the piece I'm building for bitcoin.
A tokenized Treasury settled on BNY's ledger, then backed an overnight repo with Citadel Securities.
Repo is what SOFR is built from. Collateral is moving on-chain, and its rate has to follow.
Bitcoin is collateral too. SBOR publishes its daily rate.

Bitcoin yield is getting simpler.
stBTC is now live on Stacks, offering up to 2.6% target Bitcoin Staking yield that auto-compounds directly in BTC.
That means your BTC position can grow over time without selling the underlying asset.
Limited allocation, first come first serve.
stBTC is live on @Stacks.
Deposit and earn Bitcoin Staking yield that auto-compounds in BTC, up to a 2.6% target yield produced by Stacks Bitcoin Staking.
Allocation is limited, first come first serve.
Bitcoin doesn’t need to go up for your BTC stack to grow.
At a sustained 6% annual yield, with the yield continuously reinvested and compounded, the Rule of 72 suggests your BTC balance could roughly double in 12 years.
Zest just launched a levered stBTC vault targeting BTC-denominated yield.
1 BTC → ~2 BTC over 12 years, if that 6% yield persists and compounds.
That’s the opportunity when Bitcoin becomes a productive asset. I am in.
🟠 Now live 🟠
Levered Bitcoin Staking on @Stacks.
This Vault one click loops stBTC into more Bitcoin Staking yield. No manual borrowing, no rebalancing.
