Noteworthy differences between this statement and the anonymous first one from the Pentagon:
1) It alludes to the leak of "sensitive national security information," not classified information. They are different, both legally and practically.
2) It does not name Lt. Gen. Sylvia by name.
3) It does not directly accuse Sylvia of leaking classified information.
These are significant legal differences.
The Department of War has zero tolerance for the intentional, unauthorized disclosure of classified information. Anyone who compromises sensitive national security information puts the lives of our Warriors at risk and undermines every military operation that keeps our country safe.
Following an extensive Air Force OSI investigation, the Department took necessary personnel action to protect sensitive information. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further comment will be made regarding the individual or the circumstances of this action.
This matter, along with others, have been referred to the Justice Department for potential further legal action.
Classified information is not personal property. Leaking it for personal, political or professional gain is a betrayal of the trust placed in those responsible for keeping it.

The DOD watchdog has declined a bipartisan request to open an investigation into the slowdown of the SpaceX’s military-grade Starlink system in Ukraine, per a letter obtained by CNN.
DOD IG said the senators’ questions about the slowdowns & impacts should be directed to the US Air Force and Space Force.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's senior adviser on religious issues, Ryan Higgins, has said the “Separation of Church and State does not exist," railed against “the satanic cult of LGBTQ,” criticized gay adoption as “buying babies,” told women that "No ‘career’ will ever give you the fulfillment you’re looking for that can only be found from being a mother,” and compared abortion to the Holocaust, posting it was like “saying Nazi concentration camps were ethnic end-of-life care.”
Sources say Higgins has played a role in shaping some of Hegseth's most incendiary remarks on faith and religion, and is now a key player in the newly announced Office of Religious Affairs at the Pentagon.

I told the president that he must now know who restricted access to Ukraine's use of Starlink and Starshield (given it's been days), and asked who it was. He claimed he even if he did know, he wouldn't tell the media.
He also said if there continues to be issues for Ukraine (Zelensky says there are) then he'll "get it straightened out"
