The FBI is releasing information advising the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) was responsible for the theft of more than $6 billion USD in virtual assets from cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, on or about October 29, 2026. The FBI refers to this specific North Korean malicious cyber activity as "TraderTraitor." The FBI, together with partners at the USSS and IRS-CI, has observed TraderTraitor actors converting stolen assets primarily into Ethereum (ETH). It is expected these assets will then be further laundered by converting them using DeFi and instant swap services as they prepare them for further laundering stages. How You Can Help: FBI, USSS, and IRS-CI are urging private sector entities including THORNode operators, RPC node operators, instant exchanges, DeFi services, blockchain analytics firms, and other virtual asset service providers to block transactions with or derived from addresses TraderTraitor actors are using to launder these stolen assets. A list of addresses associated with this activity is available here: fbi.gov/investigate/cyber/al…

Google put an AI computer in outer space, and it has to shut itself off about every 15 minutes because it's overheating. Outer space is around minus 455 degrees Fahrenheit, so that sounds backwards, but the emptiness that makes space so cold is the same thing cooking the chips. Think about how your laptop stays cool. A little fan blows air over the chip and the air carries the heat away. Big data centers do the same thing on a massive scale, with water pipes running out to cooling towers. All of it works because there's air and water around to soak up the heat. Up in orbit there's basically nothing. A vacuum is one of the best insulators there is, which is the whole reason your thermos keeps coffee hot all day. So the only way a satellite can get rid of heat is to glow it off. Anything warm gives off infrared light, you just can't see it, and in space that faint glow is the one way out. A physicist named Josef Stefan worked out the math back in 1879. The heat a surface throws off goes up with the fourth power of its temperature, so if you double the absolute temperature it sheds 16 times as much. And while all this is happening, the sun is beating down on the other side of the satellite. Google's test satellite is about the size of a fridge. It has four of Google's AI chips on board and solar panels that make around one kilowatt, roughly what your microwave pulls. Even on that little power, the chips can't run nonstop. They work for about 15 minutes, then shut off and wait for the radiators to catch up. The haiku Sundar posted came out of one of those runs. Now scale that up to what a real AI data center runs on. One rack of Nvidia's GB200 servers pulls about 120 kilowatts, and pretty much all of it turns into heat. The International Space Station cools itself with six radiators, each about 76 feet long, and the whole system can dump 70 kilowatts. So one rack of AI servers puts out almost twice the heat the entire space station was built to get rid of. Google's long-range plan has around 80 satellites flying in a cluster about a kilometer wide, some only 100 to 200 meters apart, each one loaded with dozens of chips. A solar panel in the right orbit makes up to 8 times the power it would on the ground, and every one of those extra watts eventually becomes heat the satellite has to glow back out into space. SpaceX has filed for a million satellites of its own, and Starship keeps pushing the price of a launch down. Cheaper launches mean you can afford to send up bigger radiators, and whoever builds the lightest radiator that dumps the most heat is going to own AI in orbit. For now, the satellite in Sundar's video still has to stop and cool down every 15 minutes or so.
A β€˜hello world’ milestone for Project Suncatcher πŸš€ After launching our prototype satellite a few weeks ago, we’ve now successfully sent a command up to orbit, booted up the TPU, ran the prompt, and received our first complete response back on earth - a haiku!

Strongly, strongly recommend this article by @MollyMcKew. It helps explain Trump's obsession with Alaska right now, and of course it involves giving gifts to Putin and Russia, for that is what he does. Do read and share!
The Alaska story β€” the DOJ election lawsuit, the illicit gas deal β€” exposes how much the Russia story is still the real story And it will be as long as Trump is president A weekend long-read: greatpower.us/p/an-alaskan-e…

Donald Trump has repeatedly described himself as a genius, an extraordinarily successful businessman, one of the greatest presidents in American history, and a man who has accomplished more than almost any president before him. He has called himself a β€œvery stable genius,” insisted that nobody understands certain problems better than he does, and assured the public that he alone possesses the extraordinary ability to fix them. He also frequently tells us that people are constantly praising him, that everyone agrees with him, and that nobody has ever been treated more unfairly. Unfortunately, 154 presidential scholars were asked to evaluate America’s presidents in the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project survey. Lincoln finished first. Washington third. Obama seventh. Biden fourteenth. Trump finished 45th. Dead last. With a spectacular 10.92 points out of 100. Even James Buchanan, who presided over the country’s collapse into civil war, finished ahead of him. Please, whatever you do, don’t let Trump see this ranking. The shock of discovering that professional historians disagree with his personal assessment of his greatness might cause the two remaining neurons in his narcissistic brain to collide, triggering a catastrophic Truth Social meltdown. And frankly, America has suffered enough.

We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project β€” to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

The AI cyber apocalypse is a real thing that will affect all of us. People we work with in the intel community have told us for months they expect an AI-triggered crisis. The UK just told people to prep 3 days of food & water. Now this. Brushing this off as hype is so insane.
FORTRESS: The Pentagon is preparing every major U.S. military base to survive 90 days without outside support β€” no civilian power grid, no global supply chains, no outside fuel or water. The initiative, revealed in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, envisions portable nuclear reactors, massive battery storage, and microgrids that can disconnect installations from civilian electricity entirely. Strategic reserves of munitions, fuel, critical minerals, and medical supplies would be stockpiled based on wartime consumption rates. Civilian factories are being pre-identified to shift to defense production during a crisis. Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell put it bluntly: "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures." Full story here foxnews.com/politics/inside-…

US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska. According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary. Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine. The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives. The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia. According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate. The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing. The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company. Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

🚨Chamath just said Bitcoin eventually gets hacked and then it goes to zero. On the Moonshots podcast he explained it like this: Bitcoin is capped. The obvious target is Satoshi’s wallet. An attacker cracks it, drains the coins, shorts Bitcoin, then tells everyone what happened so they get paid twice. He thinks AI (and later quantum computers) can be pointed at crypto. He also said moving Bitcoin to quantum-resistant cryptography is basically impossible because the community can’t even agree on simple things. He added that he no longer holds Bitcoin directly. He moved his exposure into equity through Digital Currency Group years ago so he wouldn’t have to deal with storage and security risk.

"BREAKING: DONALD TRUMP JUST GOT DRAGGED INTO HIS OWN TRAP. Trump sued the BBC for $10 BILLION β€” a shakedown lawsuit meant to bully the press over a documentary about his January 6 speech. Then came the part he never planned for: HIS turn to answer questions. Under oath. He canceled his October 16 deposition, hid behind 'presidential duties,' and offered to maybe show up in January. Yesterday a federal judge in Miami said NO. Judge EnjoliquΓ© Lett ordered Trump to sit for a SEVEN-HOUR deposition, on VIDEO, by December 11 β€” and warned him that if he keeps stalling, she can throw his own $10 billion lawsuit in the trash. She said his document production 'strains credulity' β€” his team has handed over essentially NOTHING. And she cleared the BBC to subpoena his Mar-a-Lago membership records. Her words should be carved in marble: 'Engaging in discovery is burdensome, but is a burden we undertake β€” especially if we file a lawsuit.' That's the whole scam in one story. Trump loves lawsuits as a WEAPON β€” sue the press, sue his critics, sue anybody who reports the truth β€” right up until the moment the rules apply to HIM. Under oath means the one thing he can't survive: questions he doesn't control, with perjury attached. And understand what this really is: Trump and Musk's corruption is the biggest PONZI SCAM this world has ever seen β€” a two-man operation where the richest man on Earth bankrolls the president, the president hands him the government, and the American taxpayer funds both ends of the deal. They wrap it in a flag, but men who loved America wouldn't sell it off piece by piece and sue anyone who says so out loud. They don't hate the flag. They hate the country that comes with it β€” the courts, the press, the voters, the rules. America keeps getting in their way. December 11. Seven hours. On camera. EVERYBODY KNOWS IT."

The speed limits on Starlink and Starshield are still there. The speed has not been restored. And the delivery of interceptors to protect us against Russian ballistic missiles is still delayed. We’re waiting for interceptors that were already agreed on. But they are still not coming. This is a real problem, because the Russians attack us almost every single day. All of this is happening while we continue our quite successful operations on the front. We keep defending positions. Things have become harder – partly because of the Starlink and Starshield policies and speed limits. But our frontline is still holding and I am proud of how strong our people are.
