“trump’s october surprise is just more fascism” nitter.cf/PlisskenPatriot/status…
Listen up, Dipshitimus Maximus…
Real fascism isn’t “I dislike the elected president’s budget guy or grand jury probes.”
It’s the ideology and system of Mussolini and Hitler: ultranationalist, one-party totalitarian dictatorships that rejected liberal democracy, individual rights, and the rule of law. They featured a cult of the leader, paramilitary violence (Blackshirts/Brownshirts), systematic suppression of opposition, militarism, and (in the Nazi case) racial hierarchy + genocide. Opposition was not “investigated by grand juries”—it was crushed by force, camps, and terror. Fascists hated both classical liberalism and Marxism.
A democratically elected leader using ordinary tools of the justice system (grand juries exist to examine potential crimes, including past weaponized probes) while operating under a written constitution, free elections, independent courts, and open opposition is the opposite of that. Calling routine political conflict or policy enforcement “fascism” empties the word of meaning so it can be applied to anything right of you.
If you want a closer modern analogue to actual fascist-style suppression and cult politics, look at regimes that actually ban parties, control speech by force, and subordinate the individual completely to the state or the Party—not at Trump.
Words have meanings. History has examples. Use them accurately.
