A labour of love. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I read, watched, listened widely just so I could articulate some of the things I’ve been pondering for months! ❤️

The Church has three states:
• Church Militant — us, still fighting on earth
• Church Suffering — the souls in Purgatory
• Church Triumphant — the saints in Heaven

My priest got super agitated with me when I asked him about this one day and I was soooooo validated to find out Padre Pio was of this exact position. The Communion of Saints is eternal so it makes perfect sense to me 🤷

Friendly reminder: All Saints’ Day is about Christ, and specifically what He has done in the lives of the faithful.

Today, we celebrate All Saints’ Day, giving thanks for the faithful men and women in church history and those who continue to inspire us today.

C'est pas parce que Tiakola a raté UNE performance live car il a choisi un son logobi où il rap vite et un son coupé décalé que ça veut dire qu'il est nul en live. La version live de Coucher de soleil tabasse la version studio

There is nothing I have truly asked the Lord for in the Blessed Sacrament that he hasn’t given to me.

Holiness is not a privilege reserved for a few, but a universal vocation that speaks to each of us where we live. This is the hope-filled message of today’s feast: God sees the good that we do not see, knows stories that we do not know, and reaches hearts to which we have no access.

As the #GospelOfTheDay reminds us (Mt 5:1-12), they are poor in spirit, yet rich in God’s love. Their faces are streaked with tears, yet they find consolation in prayer. They are meek in the face of violence and rewarded by the Father. They hunger for justice, yet are filled in the depths of their consciences. They are ready to forgive and embraced by mercy. They are disarmed in heart, yet protected by God. They are peacemakers, called by name by God. They are persecuted and insulted, yet strong in faith and charity.

The Solemnity of All Saints, which we celebrate today, invites us to share in the joy of that countless family of men and women who, following the Lord Jesus, have made their lives a gift to God and to their neighbors.

On All Saints’ Day, the Church lifts her eyes to the whole Church Triumphant, known and unknown. Tomorrow, All Souls’ Day, we especially pray for the Church Suffering. Both feasts flow directly from this doctrine.
You are never alone. You are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses who love you, pray for you, and cheer you on toward the same glory. Ask for their intercession. Pray for the dead. Offer your daily life for the whole Body. That is the Communion of Saints.
