We respect and uphold our own laws and constitutional principles because without them, there would be no country to live in. We also appreciate the deeper message that South Africans communicate through the ballot and must draw lessons from them and work towards doing better. Most importantly we have got to allow the people to get a better appreciation of whether their stunts mean progress for for the country or the lack there of? Whether voting the ANC out automatically translates into strengthened, empowered, serviced communities or that , it simply means consolidated and solidified rule by the economic powerful elite of this country?
And once, we are able to answer that question fellow patriots, we will truly advance the real struggle⚫️🟢🟡🇿🇦

Los Angeles, I am deeply honored to be your next mayor.
I just spoke with Mayor Bass and expressed my deepest gratitude for her leadership and decades of service. Los Angeles would not be the city it is today without her.
I love this city. I believe in its people. The work ahead will be hard, and change will take time. And together, we are going to build a future as extraordinary as the city we call home.
Thank you, LA. Let’s get to work.

As black people, our homework is to narrow it down to 2 parties that were voting for.🙏🏾
Our votes CANNOT be scattered like this ever again

I’m sorry but he owns the streets😭 the only way you get that municipality is if he gives it away.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
ANC can turn the tide in the next general elections because people still have a sense of indebtedness towards them . All they need is to throw in Sputla or someone equally credible then people will go back home . Problem kore their internal politics might not let them do this

A quick reminder before we declare anyone the winner of Johannesburg:
Leading the vote count is NOT the same as winning the council.
Joburg has 270 council seats. A party needs 136 to secure an outright majority.
Ward results and PR votes both feed into the final seat allocation. Until the votes are counted and seats allocated, it’s too early to call it.
Let’s not confuse a lead with a win. 🗳️

There is too much bad history. At some point after being backstabbed too many times, it becomes a fool’s errand to continue to trust when evidence tells you not to.
I suspect the ANC will again be the belle of the coalition ball, the kingmaker, who will get a Metro in exchange for another.
Idizwharridiz.
Let’s not be precious about it.
This. Is. Politics.
Both @helenzille and @HermanMashaba have been telling us how important it is for Joburg to be fixed. But will they put aside their differences and help bring Joburg back to life?

You need to rid yourselves of the idea that people in political parties hate each other. It’s just you supporters. I used to lob the biggest grenades at Zuma but when he’d see me he’d shout my name, wag his finger and reach in for a hug. Politics is politics. Humans are humans.

it’s true Montana elected their first Democrat congressman in 30 years and it’s this guy:

This is why he won. I get it now. If he went all over Texas talking like this to young men, then it 100% makes sense to me now. This messaging would totally resonate with young men. It's taps into heroic aspirations. This more effective than culture warring.
Joe Rogan: Why are you a Democrat?
.@JamesTalarico: My mother met my birth father, who had a drinking problem that sometimes led to being violent. My mom decided right then and there that she was leaving. She found a little apartment in East Austin and worked double duty at a hotel to provide for us. She saw Texas Democrats like Ann Richards, people who fought for the little guy. That was the classic Democratic Party. I asked my mom what we were, and she was like, ‘We're Democrats, because Democrats fight for the people.’ Our historical legacy is the party that fights for the little guy. That's why I'm a Democrat.
