One day people are going to wake the hell up and realize that every person in Washington (Republicans and Democrats) doesn't give a single shit about you. They only care about power and their pockets. They don't care about homelessness. They don't care about healthcare. They don't care about the price of groceries. They don't care about the housing market. They don't care about the price of gas. They don't care about families living paycheck to paycheck. They don't care about seniors choosing between food and medication. They don't care about parents working two jobs just to survive. They don't care about veterans sleeping on the streets. They don't care about the American Dream becoming impossible for the next generation. They care about winning elections. Keeping their seats. Protecting their donors. Expanding their power. And while Americans fight each other over Republicans and Democrats, the people in Washington keep playing the same game. They've convinced you that your neighbor is your enemy while the people making your life harder ask you for another four years to fix it. America doesn't have a Republican problem or a Democrat problem. America has a Washington problem. And until we stop worshipping politicians and start holding them accountable, nothing is going to fucking change.
