BREAKING: Residents of 21 communities in Zugurma District, Mashegu LGA of Niger State, are reportedly fleeing their homes following repeated attacks by bandits.
Apart from forcing people to abandon their communities, the bandits have also destroyed farmlands and crops, leaving many residents worried about their safety and means of livelihood.
The affected communities are Mulea, Poto, Kizhi, Gwaji, Kuda, Zhiwongi, Kpantu, Eda Gari Mallam, Pozhi, Chitaku, Edogi, Magawata, Bitogi, Shinkafi, Unguwar Makeri, Yeni Gago, Kanbarin Daji, Faje, Mashigi, Kiriya and Unguwar Hussaini.
This is a serious concern, especially for rural communities whose livelihoods depend largely on farming. Urgent security intervention is needed to protect residents and prevent further displacement.

It has been over a month since Sikiru was shot and members of his family were abducted in the PW Estate/Babban Saura incident in Millennium City Kaduna.
Sikiru was shot, and his family was taken away. Some victims have regained their freedom, but we must not forget those who are still missing.
This family has already suffered an unimaginable loss. They deserve to mourn their loved one in peace, not remain at the mercy of evil kidnappers in the forest.

BREAKING: This afternoon, bandits attacked farmers in Fadamar Tarah, Sabon-Birni LGA of Sokoto State, killing one person and abducting several others.
The attack has once again raised concerns over the safety of farmers and rural communities in the area.
How long will these attacks continue, and what concrete steps are being taken to protect innocent people going about their daily activities?

GOOD NEWS: Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have killed 48 ISWAP terrorists and recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition following fierce encounters in Bitta, Borno State, and Buni Yadi, Yobe State.
The military said the terrorists attempted to attack military positions in Bitta, Gwoza LGA, on the night of October 29, before launching another assault on the North East Theatre Training School (NETTS) in Buni Yadi, Gujba LGA.
In Buni Yadi, troops, supported by air assets and intelligence, launched a counter-offensive that lasted about five hours, overwhelming the attackers and leaving 48 terrorists dead.
Recovered weapons include 42 AK-47 rifles, five PKT machine guns, four GPMGs, one 60mm mortar, alongside hundreds of magazines and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Sadly, one soldier lost his life during the engagements, while two others sustained minor injuries and are receiving treatment.
This is a significant operational success against the insurgents and a major blow to their fighting capacity. Commendation to the gallant troops for their courage, coordination and determination in defending their positions and preventing further attacks.
May the soul of the fallen soldier rest in peace.
