In my lifetime I hope to see:
1. Scotland & Wales as independent nations
2. A united Ireland
3. Renationalisation of utilities & railways
4. Removal of the private sector from our NHS
5. The end of the monarchy
6. Tony Blair in prison
7. A Free Palestine
8. Trident scrapped

Looks like @AdrianRamsay is still pissed at getting his arse kicked so badly in the leadership hustings. A case for deselection, methinks.

Extraordinary overreach. What are they thinking? They're going to arrest the people driving pensioners and priests to a protest where they intend to hold up a sign? People who give them water? People acting as legal observers?

Well. We shall see what Adrian says - I hope this is misreporting. But can we be clear that there is no contradiction between speaking out for human rights and for nature. Why on earth would environmentalists tolerate genocide? Humans being nature after all! People and planet. Both.

If you're from an left-wing party and you're briefing The Times about factional issues, you have lost your political compass.
It's fine - and appropriate, and good! - to have disputes about strategy and tactics and ideas. It's productive to debate and contest positions and organise collectively.
But briefing The Times is not doing that. It's running to a media that wants to see the Greens destroyed or irrelevant, and helping them.
This is from Adrian Ramsay briefing the Times today. Adrian and Ellie, who will almost certainly lose their seats, and Carolyn, will have to answer for the deeply dehumanising language theyβve relentlessly directed at Green Party members. They should be under no illusion that people will move on and forget.

And electing Adrian Ramsay is one of the worst. Held back @TheGreenParty from becoming a *real* force for change for people & planet

This is the slightly more genteel, Green Party version of what the PLP, Labour Together and the party bureaucracy did to Corbyn.
This isn't complicated. If every time large numbers of, primarily young, idealistic people become enthused by politics and seek to engage in the political process you tell them go away, you are not wanted and call them entryists - it is really, really bad for democracy.

Many of those who worked behind the scenes to undermine and betray Jeremy Corbyn and the genuine Labour movement are now so prominent in the Government. Burnham himself replacing the treacherous Starmer as they turned the party Tory π΄
I have to kick myself to remember that once upon a time in 2015, Jeremy Corbyn trounced Yvette Cooper, Andy Burnham and Liz Kendall to win the Labour leadership. I mean trounced them by a country mile. And yet here we are, eleven years later with Burnham installed as an unelected Prime Minister and Cooper and Kendall holding and having held down senior Labour Party and Government positions despite genuine concerns that theyβve been seriously out of their depth in all of them. And to see Corbyn, the man who inspired real hope for many, wrongly removed from said Labour Party. I despair at what the Labour Party has become, at what happens to any politician who strives for real change.
