What’s a polite way to tell someone, β€œI’m not discussing this with you because your entire understanding of the subject is built on so many interconnected misconceptions that correcting them would require uninstalling your current worldview and starting the tutorial from birth”?

The last great Robert Caro interview I deeply enjoyed was conducted by @WilliamJHague for @intelligence2, almost a decade ago. Super excited for @dwarkesh_sp's conversation with probably the greatest biographer alive today.
I recently got to interview Robert Caro, who is my favorite author of all time. This gave me the excuse to reread his biographies of Lyndon Johnson and Robert Moses, and to compile my prep notes into this video essay. These guys pulled off some truly incredible schemes.

Adidas: Impossible is Nothing. Most Indian VCs: Nothing.

Majority of Indian VCs are basically paper tigers. Everybody wants to be Don Valentine, but nobody wants to write Nolan Bushnell a check.
Why are Indian VCs so afraid to take risk and make money? Someone should go to India and take risk and make money. Our story - corememory.com/p/a-new-india…

This tweet has such a @rabois ring to it. However, if it were @rabois, he would’ve simply tweeted β€œwrong” and moved on.

No one sees more startups than I do - all around the world. Spent three weeks in India with 15 companies. Quite convinced about what is going on. Never been to a place where the VCs have a worse reputation.

Optimism.
Woooooowww. This is the confirmation we’ve been waiting for! Moderna and Merck’s personalized mRNA cancer vaccine reduced the risk of melanoma recurrence or death by 42% when added to Keytruda after surgery, compared with Keytruda alone! And yes, it uses the same mRNA technology behind the COVID vaccines!

If Carrick wants to build a winning culture at United, Arsenal offers three lessons: 1. Emery failed to contain Γ–zil. Lost his job. 2. Arteta froze out Γ–zil and terminated his contract. 3. Arteta froze out Aubameyang. Sold his own club captain. Standards > Stars.

If you think about it, every courtroom drama in India, technically, is a sci-fi film. πŸ§πŸ€”
