Mentioned this to Ben on Fan Debate but it’s crazy how tough love works if you get the rub of the green, both Tel and Fernandes have received comments from RDZ, both took their chances and played well at the Bridge. These are the margins.
🚨 Mathys Tel has a staff of six working closely with him on a daily basis.
- 2 individual coaches (one focusing on attacking play, the other on defending),
- A Video analyst
- A Fitness coach
- A Personal chef
- A Nutritionist
Tel also does additional sessions with those coaches to ensure he’s staying sharp, even when he doesn’t get the opportunity to perform on a #THFC matchday. 💪

Years too late, again.
#MUFC exploring market for centre-forwards in January, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin under consideration.
Move considered remote given rivalry between teams.
Leeds believed to be looking at securing new contract for star striker.

Think Iraola deserves far more credit than the general consensus seems to be right now, he’s lost ONE match at Liverpool, to City. They’re 3 wins from 3 in the UCL, on 15 points after 8 games (71-ish point pace), utilising Nyoni, Koumas, Rio, McConnell. They were one of the teams whose transfer business was most worrying, Araujo’s done well but RB, LB, central midfield, he’s managed those issues near-perfectly. Still so much to be improved on even from a coaching POV but in a transition season with a sub optimal “rebuild” in the summer, you couldn’t have asked for much more.
Perfect example here from a recent Hoffenheim goal. This is how you disorganise blocks and manipulate marking. Through rotation, mobility & depth. These three combined together get you the most valuable thing in football: SPACE.
Don't think the 'pass & move' game has ever been so important than it is today. It feels like every good team, at the moment, is class at rotating positions, running off markers and finding spaces. You hear 'wide triangles' a lot but what makes them effective is the mobility within the rotation. It's one of the main reasons I think Brighton have been so good this season too.

With successive managers struggling, what does it say about those running Man United? 🔴
WHEN Carrick goes, please please take responsibility for your decisions and go with him. Countless outright failures. You've had three goes at it. If this was a manager-type situation, he'd have been sacked a long time ago. Same rules apply. And the Glazers too, do one.
