Fur is not fashion #FurBelongsToAnimals 🐾
That's why I've signed EDM 858 calling for an end to fur imports and sales in the UK. If we've banned fur farming at home on animal welfare grounds, we should not permit fur produced through cruel practices abroad to be sold here.

This dog meat farm is shocking. There are seemingly endless rows of rusty cages. This place has capacity for up to 1,000 dogs at a time. It's hard to imagine how many dogs have been killed here for their meat. Please help give these dogs a chance to make it out of this place alive.
This can't wait. If you haven't already, please donate now to get these dogs to safety and save more animals from suffering: hwfa.link/x092926

Good to hear @Jenny4SuffCoast speaking at Labour conference against the image of ‘rural Britain’ painted by the far right of ‘a pint in the pub with a Labrador and a chat about fox hunting’; we agree vast majority of Brits want no chats about bygone cruelty in country pubs 🦊

At @UKSustain @Food_Foundation at @LibDems conference. 75% of voters support Good Food Bill. Bill has wide support from 3rd & corporate sectors. @SarahDykeLD says UK fruit & veg production dropped by 16% since 2015, urgent action needed to support farmers, plus embrace wonky veg!

Great all-woman panel at #WildSummitUk on nature-friendly farming. Encouraging to see that top-voted questions are all seeking debate on livestock and meat reduction and diet behaviour change! Excellent comments challenging Govt’s poultry growth plan from Debbie @ciwf🌱@WCL_News

Fur is for animals - let's keep it that way
Fur is beautiful... on its rightful owners! 🦊
The UK banned fur farming 20 years ago, but we still import and sell real fur, outsourcing the cruelty overseas.
It’s time to end the hypocrisy. Join us: Fur belongs to animals! ow.ly/LBtl50ZHC3q

As absurd as it sounds, that's the reality highlighted in our new campaign film with @humaneworlduk and @FOURPAWSUK.
It's time to stop the delay and ban hunting trophy imports once and for all.

"I'm not sure if pigs are capable of human-like emotions, like being happy or sad" - unbelievable that @FryRsquared said this and even more so that @BBCiPlayer aired it, it is unscientific and misleading and should be edited out of the programme (1/2)

Last week, The Animal Law Foundation, @ciwf and @humaneworlduk helped coordinate a letter sent by @SarahDykeLD MP to Dame @angelaeagle MP, Minister for Food Security and Rural Affairs, urging @DefraGovUK to bring forward mandatory, clear and consistent animal welfare labelling on meat products, and to strengthen enforcement against misleading claims in food marketing. The letter was signed by 22 cross-party MPs and members of the House of Lords.

✊🏼 It is UnFURgivable that animals continue to suffer on fur farms for frivolous fur fashion.
🦊➡️ With overwhelming evidence on animal welfare, biodiversity, and economic viability – and with more than 1.5 million people signing the European Citizens’ Initiative for a Fur Free Europe – it would be UNFURGIVABLE if an EU-wide ban on fur farming and farmed fur product trade is not delivered now.
The time for a Fur Free Europe is now 🔗 humaneworld.org/stopfur

Cage-confinement deprives animals of the ability to express their natural behavior and often even the space to turn around, leading to higher stress levels and more frequent health problems.
