Trying to arrange Cybertruck financing through Tesla has been unnessecarily stressful. Delivery is Friday and still waiting for everything to be finalized. It’s so weird. I applied for a loan when I first configured and got approved pretty much instantly. They asked me to verify my address, I did. Accepted instantly. Then months later I go to check for a VIN and it says loan offer expired. So I got to resubmit the credit application. They go ok great you’re approved. Just verify your address. I upload documents to verify the address… and it just says pending approval for weeks. I ask someone at the Tesla store hey what’s going on here I got a VIN but it’s just hanging at pending approval. He goes oh it’s probably fine they’re just waiting so it doesn’t expire again probably. Then they call me out of the blue this week and say hey we’re waiting for you to finish this stuff the truck is here ready for deligery. can you upload a more recent utility bill? I didn’t get any indication in the app the document wasn’t accepted, and it was the most recent at the time it was submitted Then I find out that my PG&E account has been canceled and my roommate opened one in his name, probably so he could get his Tesla. We just moved into this apartment a few months ago so i’m struggling to find a bill with my name on it. So we call PG&E to get my name added, they say they’ll mail a new one and also show me how to generate a “letter of payment reference” I upload the new bill, still nothing. And the weird thing is it showed approved and I had all the terms sorted out but then they asked for address verification again. I feel like this shouldn’t be so complicated. I’m dying to get this Cybertruck and it feels like there’s a good chance delivery will be delayed due to verification of address. WTF. I live there. Do you need to come over for dinner? I wish I had just arranged the financing myself without Tesla. Sales people seem just as confused as me and take a long time to respond. Sorry. Had to vent. This has been really frustrating me. Hopefully it’s not this annoying for all Tesla customers
