Activists confronted former German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock at Sweden’s Uppsala University on Monday, accusing her of complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Baerbock was delivering the Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture, jointly hosted by the university and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. Protesters challenged her remarks defending attacks on civilian infrastructure and Germany’s military support for Israel.
In October 2024, Baerbock argued that civilian sites could lose their protected status if abused by Hamas. Germany approved €485.1m—about $554m—in arms exports to Israel between October 2023, and May 2025.

77.45% of Israeli citizens voted for right-wing & far-right parties
6.51% voted for the zionist left
15% voted for Arab parties
If you leave out Arab citizens of Israel, it means over 92% of zionist Israelis voted for the right!

A clear majority of Jewish Israelis voted for Netanyahu’s coalition.
The man has been indicted on corruption charges in Israel and indicted for war crimes by the ICC.
His coalition has waged an assault on Israel’s legal system and he waged a genocidal war on Gaza and a quieter war on the West Bank the past three years.

Daniel Levy | Former Israeli Peace Negotiator | US/Middle East Project (@USMEP):
Netanyahu did not alone commit genocide for 3 years. He did not alone maintain decades of illegal occupation. It was system-wide.
Eisenkot was part of it & served in the military. He sat in the emergency unity security cabinet after Oct. 7 - during the genocide.
Israeli generals, soldiers & judges - all part of a system-wide mobilization. Dissenting voices existed but remained marginal.

Because of checkpoints and gate closures, daily suffering unfolds for patients and Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulance crews across the West Bank.
This footage from Bethlehem and Hebron captures the grueling ordeal of transferring emergency patients across occupation gates and checkpoints—turning medical transport into a painful journey that threatens lives and obstructs humanitarian duty.

⭕️ The latest from the “only democracy in the Middle East”:
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee hailed Israel’s election as proof of democracy, writing that “Arabs vote same as Israelis.” But Palestinian citizens of Israel are Israelis. It is the equivalent of saying “Black people vote same as Americans.”
Millions of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation in the West Bank and Gaza cannot vote in Israeli elections, while Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank can.
And last month, Israel’s Central Elections Committee voted to ban both major Arab party lists from the election, a decision subsequently overturned by the Supreme Court.
Also today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sounded an alarm over “higher-than-usual voter turnout in the Arab sector,” warning that “the future of our Jewish state hangs in the balance.”
Today is election day in Israel, which is a national holiday. All voting is in person, ID required. No mail-in or absentee ballots. Arabs vote same as Israelis. Contentious process, but it's a democracy-not many of those in this region!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Arab voters are Israeli citizens. Listing them in contrast to Israelis is misconstruing the facts.

Benjamin Moser, author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, told Rashid Khalidi that his 80-year-old mother, who had all but called him a Hamas member, apologized after reading his book: “I’m ashamed I ever said I was a Zionist.”
His book traces Jewish opposition to Zionism over the past century and challenges their exclusion in discussions over Palestine. “No, you don’t get to set the rules anymore. We’re setting the rules now,” Moser said.
Khalidi added that he had never seen so many people change their views so rapidly, noting that major publishers are now embracing books on Palestine that would have been virtually unpublishable just three or four years ago.

Sırbistan'da Vucic'i iktidardan devirenler kim?

If you are an Israeli soldier stationed in Gaza, you can vote in one of 40 illegal voting stations setup for soldiers of genocide.
If you are a Palestinian born in Gaza, to parents Palestinian parents and grandparents and great grandparents born in Gaza, you cannot vote. You cannot have clean water. You cannot have shelter. You are not allowed to leave the Gaza Concentration Camp. You can be executed at any moment for any reason. You are the personal property of Israel and Donald Trump. You are effectively a slave.

As restrictions grow, RSF is concerned that the authorities are rejecting international reporters' visa applications based on the editorial stance of the media outlets they represent.
