SF has attracted the best talent from across the U.S. and around the world for more than 70 years. Yet most investors rarely leave the Bay.
Angela @astrange and Gabe are often among the first point of contact for exceptional founders.
As a result we’ve deployed more than 40% of our capital into international founders in the US and globally in the last 2 years.

Nonie’s place is a gem of a museum.
From last night: @marvinvonhagen and @inxoy_ caught browsing through the MoMa Futurism catalogue from 1961 :)
It was the first survey of Futurism in the United States and commemorated the Italian movement’s 50th anniversary.

Marvin and I first met almost 5y ago in Europe. We were both determined to move to the U.S ASAP.
Then, @interaction was one of the first angel checks I ever wrote, and @marvinvonhagen has enabled much of what I do today. I couldn’t have been more excited when he told me the news, especially given how much respect I have for both them and @cognition.

Cognition is acquiring @Interaction, the makers of Poke.
If you've ever used Poke, you know why we're so excited.

Looks like @a16z just took over the poker night scene in NY.
DM if you want a seat at the next one.

Excited to be part of the team tackling our global efforts and to help spearhead our international investing alongside my partner @astrange!
We believe AI is the great equalizer. For the first time, billions of people can access PhD-level intelligence from a phone. Talent is more distributed than ever, and Silicon Valley is ultimately a state of mind.
We’re already seeing this shift play out. Great global companies are being born outside the U.S. and scaling faster than ever: ElevenLabs, Black Forest Labs, Mistral, Lovable, Decart, Manus, Sakana, Wonderful, and many others are just the beginning.
Our goal is simple: build a bridge between the United States and the world’s best founders, operators, and technologists — and partner with them to win globally.
We’ll also continue doubling down on immigrant founders in the U.S. through our Borderless network. Immigrants have founded or co-founded 59% of America’s privately held billion-dollar startups, including companies like SpaceX, OpenAI, Databricks, Stripe, Ramp, Safe Superintelligence, Anysphere, Vercel, and RunwayML.
The next generation of category-defining companies will be born anywhere and scale everywhere, and we want to be the partner of choice for the founders building them.

The only downside of hosting people is that my friends forgotten stuff is increasingly overtaking the little stuff I own.
CS 2881 by @boazbaraktcs is the University course I'm most excited about in a while.
Even better it features @EdTurner42 and @NeelNanda5 paper about Emergent Misalignment.
Anyone interested in AI Safety should follow along.
