I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor.

I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS.
I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details.
The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.

I'm building a motion curve editor beyond your wildest fantasies.
I've been head down solving new easing equations for the last 13 months.
I promise nothing less than a quantum leap in easing technology.

I’ve been exploring new inputs - reimagining what a computer should be for the ai age. Pushing a mouse around a window starts to feel obsolete with vibe-based articulation. A video game controller-like device seems to have a lot of potential to replace a mouse and keyboard. A laid back surface to input voice while also having touch controls, shortcuts, contextual ui, detailed adjustments, touch keyboard, and system navigation
Also could allow the os to become a space you navigate rather than a desktop for files and folders…

We did a lot at @notboring this year, but my proudest accomplishment may be hitting a career high for contributions (~2/day).
Not long ago I was managing teams and directing product decisions from a distance. Then I recognized that the creative people I admire most are not just leading their field but do so with their hands in the clay—Miyazaki, Fincher, Rubin, Baldessari.
As creative people, we're presented with false dilemmas all the time—Manager or IC track? Designer or developer? Build or lead? Rules set up by others to make you easier to manage. Don't play by someone else's rules.
Keep your hands in the clay.

here's me controlling GLSL shader uniforms using my hands. imprecise exploratory inputs — like finding the right parameters when making highly-dimensional generative art — feel like they're better suited to fluid movements.

Isolating the light and playing with settings. More UE optical/light studies. Using lots of my favorite cinema and films to help drive my outcomes :)

Why do some interactions just feel great?
To find out, I wrote a 3000-word essay on deconstructing the craft of interaction design through metaphors and examples.

Prototyped a little app that allows you to take frames from @figma and 'pull them into space'.
The frames stay linked to the canvas and update on any changes

We’re working on a new (not boring) app. Rather than slowly tease it over months, let’s kill any hype right now…
It’s called Vibes.
It’s a personalized video game soundtrack for your life to help you focus, sleep, workout.
