“The rape didn’t last long enough” There is not enough anger in the world to account for how little sexual violence against women just doesn’t matter in society.
A Swedish court has ruled that the Eritrean migrant who raped 16-year-old Meya Åberg won’t be deported because the rape didn’t last long enough. The rape took place on September 1st last year when Meya missed her bus and was walking through a pedestrian tunnel after finishing her shift at McDonald’s. Meya and her family immediately reported it to the police. The 18-year-old Eritrean migrant, named Yazied Mohamed, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for rape. Mohamed is a citizen of Eritrea, and the prosecutor sought his deportation. However, the Court of Appeal noted that the man has refugee status. Under Swedish law, deporting a refugee requires that the crime committed constitutes an “exceptionally serious offense” and that allowing them to remain in Sweden would pose a “serious threat to public order and safety.” The rape of 16-year-old Meya was not deemed serious enough to justify deportation, with the Court of Appeal citing, among other factors, the “duration” of the rape in its assessment. “Rape is, in many cases, considered an exceptionally serious offense that could lead to the deportation of a refugee, but an assessment must be made based on all circumstances in the individual case. Given the nature and duration of the offense in question, the Court of Appeal finds that while the crime is serious, it does not constitute an exceptionally serious offense that would warrant a deportation order for Yazied Mohamed. The request for deportation is therefore rejected,” the Court of Appeal for Upper Norrland wrote in its ruling.

My beautiful mother-in-law has passed away, and I am bereft. Never once did she observe skin colour as a difference between people. She interested herself in the content of my character and my wardrobe. She raised sons, but she was a woman’s woman. I miss her terribly already 💔

You're damn skippy! I fear the type of man who would think it's ok to get into women and little girls spaces while they are undressing or peeing.
No unpacking required. We fear or simply dislike sharing intimate spaces with males.

Jeff became a friend during my cancellation. He took the case that got homosexuality decriminalised in Northern Ireland, and he’s now warning that this conversion therapy bill does the opposite. ‘It’s anti-gay. It’s transing the gay away.’ Those who seek to push it through would do well to listen to @JeffDudgeon - he knows his onions.
“We are gay men and we consider this legislation to be anti-gay. It is transing the gay away.” Jeff Dudgeon played a vital role in the campaign to decriminalise homosexuality in Northern Ireland. He now opposes the Conversion Practices (Criminalisation) Bill, which is before the Northern Ireland Assembly. A founding member of the Northern Ireland Gay Rights Association, Jeff brought the first successful challenge to the criminalisation of homosexuality at the European Court of Human Rights. On 22 October 1981, the Court ruled that Northern Ireland’s law violated his right to respect for private life. The Homosexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 1982 followed, bringing the law in line with the rest of the UK. Forty-five years later, he is campaigning against a Bill presented as necessary to protect LGBT people. As he points out, those who oppose it are routinely smeared as homophobes. “Conversion practices” conjures up electric shock treatment and corrective rape — horrific practices that are already illegal. So what would this Bill criminalise? It would expose parents to prosecution, and up to two years in prison, for having honest conversations with children who are confused about their gender identity. Gender identity issues can cause great turmoil within families. Many parents already feel pressured to affirm their child’s belief that they were born in the wrong body, for fear of damaging their relationship. The Bill would add the threat of prosecution for parents who wish to guide their child away from life-changing, irreversible medicalisation. It would rip families apart. This is of particular concern to gay rights campaigners such as Jeff, because the vast majority of gender-confused children are same-sex attracted, and same-sex attraction often goes hand in hand with gender non-conformity in childhood. It’s fun watching the democracy seminar on Israel, where Arab citizens vote and hold seats in parliament. I can’t wait for the sequel on Jewish minority rights across the rest of Middle East. It'll be a short one: either no Jews, no elections, or no citizenship."

Reese's Pieces have no chocolate in them. The peanuts had their oil pressed out and a cheaper fat put back in. Sugar is first, then partially defatted peanuts, then hydrogenated palm kernel and soybean oil, then corn syrup solids. Everything after that is 2% or less, and it's the dyes, the glaze, some vanillin and a little milk. There's no cocoa anywhere. Partially defatted just means the peanuts went through a press. The peanut oil comes out one side and gets sold as peanut oil. What's left is a dry peanut flour, and that's what the center is made from, because flour holds a shape in a panning drum and doesn't go rancid. Then they put fat back in, and the fat they picked is hydrogenated palm kernel oil, which is solid at room temperature and costs less than peanut oil. You can see the swap on the panel. 38 pieces have 6 g of fat and all 6 are saturated. Peanut oil is mostly unsaturated, so that number isn't the peanut. The shell is sugar with 4 dyes and a coat of shellac.

Unhappy anniversary to @hrw & @amnesty. Nine months ago today, HRW promised an independent review of the controversy surrounding a report that staff fought to publish alleging Israeli crimes v. humanity, even as leaders warned its factual basis “needed to be strengthened.” Still no public findings. Nearly three months ago, @AmnestyUK promised internal & independent reviews after withdrawing an “anti-rights” briefing condemned by @jk_rowling, admitting it had bypassed “established internal review processes” and fallen “significantly short” of its own research and editorial standards. Still no public findings. As media scrutiny fades, and with no enforceable obligation to publish, implement recommendations or demonstrate lasting change, “reviews” are a favored NGO scrutiny repellent—providing a veneer of accountability while leaving organizations in control of terms, disclosure & follow-up. Yet findings about research & editorial standards, ideological influences & institutional pressures are matters of public interest, not internal affairs—particularly for organizations that shape public opinion and policy while professing rigor and transparency. It's time to end the practice of human rights and humanitarian organizations investigating their own failings—or commissioning reviews on their own terms—and treating that alone as accountability. @MSF

"Trans widows have told of how their husbands engage in coercive sexual behaviour aimed at making their sex life “lesbian”. This pressure does not just take place inside the home. Trans widows report therapists pressuring them to accept..that they must really be a lesbian. "

When you flippantly use the words far right, nazi, bigot, and fascist against people who are not those things, it renders the words meaningless. You can’t then complain when people don’t take you seriously. Obviously a sub tweet.

No matter how condescending he sounds, Peter Hitchens is spot on.
Matthew Perry’s sister, Mia Perry Bowick, has told a new documentary about her brother’s life that his 2013 #Newsnight debate with Peter Hitchens was a “huge moment” in his decision to speak publicly about addiction and “show himself”. You can watch some of the debate here.

What is this “evidence based care” he is speaking about. There’s is precious little evidence for the benefits of “gender affirming care”.
So Stonewall want a registry of Stonewall-approved therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists to be set up? What could possibly go wrong? Stephen Kiely from Stonewall is giving *very* strong Matthew Hopkins “Witchfinder General” vibes

Who would have thought that asking the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls whether she accepts that rape occurred on 7 October would be such a complicated business? We tried. A lot. Here's what happened.

I’ve now been contacted by numerous people about the ‘Boob Man of Oxford’. Those who work or study at Oxford have asked for anonymity, so I can’t share identifying details. But some common themes have emerged: - Unsurprisingly, women describe feeling uncomfortable about a male lecturer wearing what appear to be oversized prosthetic breasts in their place of work or study - Some question whether there is a sexual element or whether it is a ‘power play’. These are their concerns, rather than established explanations for his behaviour - but are legitimate concerns nonetheless - They say they’re afraid to raise concerns because he is surrounded by ‘allies’, including staff, who defend his appearance as 'self-expression' One source has even wondered whether this is an elaborate stunt to embarrass the university - along the lines of Josh Seiter, who pretended to be a trans woman as an 'experiment'. Another source says this has been going on for three years - which does seem a long time to keep up the act. There is interest in covering this in the mainstream press. What would help now is more documentary evidence: complaint letters, responses or correspondence showing how concerns have been handled. My inbox is open: [email protected]. Happy to have a confidential chat about any aspect of this. All messages treated in confidence.
